Gearing Up For Comic Con
I booked my flights for Comic Con today. It’s becoming an annual ritual. Obsessively search for the best rates beginning in April. Hem and haw around debating whether or not to book that early. External factors make me wait. External factors get resolved. Search for best rates again. Gulp over increase since April. Wrangle my schedule to match the airlines’ schedules. Queue up tickets. Cringe. Run another search just in case something better pops up. Cave to the inevitable. Buy tickets. Experience buyer’s remorse for about 5 minutes. Decide “it’s only money” and start getting excited about the trip.
Those 5 minutes are up, so let’s start getting excited! We’ll have a pretty large entourage this year as the Nice Girls Take Comic Con 2010 trip gets underway. Between our regular writers, special correspondents, and photographers, we’re up to 11 Nice Girls hitting San Diego in July. We’ll be reporting from panels and press rooms, the exhibition hall and parties. (Note to Entertainment Weekly: Nice Girls are great at mingling at Saturday night parties. Just sayin’.)
The spreadsheet will start coming together in a couple of weeks once the schedule is announced, and this year it will be annotated. We’ll post which shows we plan to cover, so if you have a question you’d like us to get answered, you can leave a comment and we’ll do our best to get the scoop for you. If you happen to be headed to Comic Con, too, we’ll see you there!
