Firefly Reunion at Comic Con

No, Firefly isn’t returning to our screens and (so far) there isn’t a formal Firefly reunion happening at Comic Con this year, but advance leaks for the networks’ panels indicates that several alumni of one of my all-time favorite shows will be in San Diego in July.

I miss you guys!

Nathan Fillion (Captain Malcolm Reynolds) will be there with ABC’s Castle; Morena Baccarin (Inara) will likely come in support of ABC’s V;  Summer Glau (River) is pretty much a given for a panel about NBC’s new superhero series The Cape;  and Adam Baldwin (Jayne Cobb) will surely be part of the Chuck panel for NBC. Jewel Staite (Kaylee) has been part of the Stargate universe for several years, so it’s possible she’ll be on hand for a panel about the new movie, Stargate: Extinction.

Alan Tudyk (Wash) has ties to V and some of the Cartoon Network series, so maybe he’ll show up? That just leaves Sean Maher (Simon), Gina Torres (Zoe), and Ron Glass (Shepherd Book) to find reasons to attend and we’ll have the entire cast in one place again.

Can I put in a plea now for an official Firefly panel? C’mon, you guys know you want to! Just think how much goodwill that would send into the geek community, and you could remind everyone about the shows you’re on now. It’s a win-win!

Comic Con 2010 is just a few weeks away (already!), and we’re gearing up for our annual coverage. This year’s schedule is going to be insane, as usual! We’ll have reports from various panels, interviews from the press room, photos, etc. Watch for more information about panels and special events as scheduling is revealed, and be sure to follow us on Twitter for updates while we’re out there.
