Nice Boy of the Week: Chad Lowe

It’s time to introduce a new Nice Boy and with the premiere of the new ABC Family series, Pretty Little Liars, we have a whole new pool to choose from. Congratulations Chad Lowe, who plays Byron Montgomery, Aria’s father on the show.

Chad began his career as a teen and quickly piled up his credits, which include Spencer, Life Goes On (for which he won an Emmy), Melrose Place, ER, Now and Again, Star Trek: Enterprise, Law & Order: SVU, CSI Miami, Without A Trace, Medium, 24 and Ghost Whisperer. His film credits include Flight 90: Disaster on the Potomac, Silence of the Heart, Oxford Blues, April Morning, Nobody’s Perfect, Beautiful Ohio and more. Chad has also proven himself as a director on Bones, Brothers & Sisters, Without A Trace, Law & Order:SVU and Hack.

On Pretty Little Liars, Chad plays Aria’s dad, a handsome and sexy college professor who once had an affair with a student. Aria caught him in the back seat of his car, but the two have managed to keep the secret from Aria’s mother. Popular with the ladies, he is very unpopular with his own daughter. Although he is trying to repair his image as a good father and devoted family man, he has a long way to go in her eyes.

He’s talented, handsome and fun to watch on television, and we just had to add him to our Nice Boys wall of fame. Look out for Chad in an upcoming episode of Drop Dead Diva, Back From the Dead, scheduled to air on Sunday, June 13, at 9/8 central,  on Lifetime.
