They Deserve Their Own Show (Part 46)

Here is the next installment of actors and actresses who are under-appreciated, deserving of more attention or perhaps even their own show:

Elise Gatien

Elise Gatien – Elise is a newcomer to the industry, but caught attention of viewers in two recent episodes of Smallville. Previously, she has appeared in episodes of Eureka, Bionic Woman and The Guard and she appeared in the movies Dr. Doolittle: Tail to the Chief and In the Land of Women.

Amy Gumenick

Amy Gumenick – Amy’s first appearance on TV was in an episode of Army Wives then she appeared in guest roles on How I Met Your Mother, Greek, Grey’s Anatomy, Bones and a recent episode of Castle. She appeared in several episodes of Supernatural as the younger version of the Winchester’s mother and she had the lead role in the made-for-TV movie Natalee Holloway.

Judith Hoag

Judith Hoag – Judith has a very long resume, dating back to her first work in 1985. Near the turn of the century she made appearances in episodes of The Pretender, Judging Amy, Boston Public, ER, Crossing Jordan, 7th Heaven, JAG and Bones. More recently she has appeared in Ghost Whisperer, Grey’s Anatomy, Sons of Anarchy, The Forgotten, The Mentalist and CSI: NY. She also had a recurring role in Big Love. Her made-for-TV movies include Return to Halloweentown, Halloweentown High, Halloweentown II: Kalabar’s Revenge, Halloweentown and A Mother’s Gift. She will soon be seen in the remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street.

Alessandro Juliani

Alessandro Juliani – Alessandro is best known for his role in the reimagined version of Battlestar Galactica, but he has also appeared in episodes of Dark Angel, Jeremiah, Stargate: SG-1 and Reaper. Most recently he has guest starred in Human Target and Smallville. He appeared in the made-for-TV movies Taken, Earthsea and Alice. He had a small role in the box office movie Watchmen and can be seen in the online series Riese and appeared in the recent Syfy movie Riverworld.

Ryan Kennedy

Ryan Kennedy – Ryan’s first TV appearance was on the short-lived show Blade: The Series and then he appeared in another short-lived series Whistler. Most recently he has guest starred in episodes of Flashpoint, Smallville, Psych, Stargate Universe, V, Sanctuary and Caprica. He has been seen in the made-for-TV movies Storm Cell, Ice Twisters and Category 6: Day of Destruction. He also appeared in the box office movie The Invisible.

Jonny Lee Miller

Jonny Lee Miller – Best known for his leading role in the short-lived but critically acclaimed series Eli Stone, Jonny Lee has also appeared in the movies Mansfield Park, Hackers with Angelina Jolie (to whom he was briefly married), Dracula 2000, AEon Flux with Charlize Theron, Melinda and Melinda and Trainspotting. He also appeared in the short-lived series Smith and most recently was in the PBS movie Emma.
