Follow “Fringe” and “Glee” on Twitter
The Twitter Bug has hit FOX. It was only a matter of time. I’m continually amazed at the growth rate of Twitter and how people are using it. Fox is jumping on the Tweet wagon (Twagon?) by inviting fans of Fringe and Glee to follow the cast and showrunners from both shows.
In a unique combination of broadcast and social media, fans of “Glee” and “Fringe” will have a chance to swap tweets with the shows’ casts via Twitter and then watch those responses on-air during special tweet-peat episodes. To join in, simply subscribe to the casts’ Twitter feeds at twitter.com/GLEEonFOX and twitter.com/FRINGEonFOX.
Watch for “tweet-peats” on Thursday night for Fringe (9 pm. ET/PT) and Friday night for Glee (9 pm. ET/PT), which will appear in a running banner at the bottom of your screen, along with “commentary about the episode, answers to fan questions and insights on the upcoming season.” (As if the advertising on our screens during our shows isn’t annoying enough.) Use the #GLEE and #FRINGE tags to follow more easily.
Here is a list of cast and crew from each show that you can follow:
