The series, starring Colin Ferguson as Jack Carter, picks up where it left off from its mid-season cliffhanger with Jack being removed from his sheriff duties and Allison (Salli Richardson-Whitfield) expecting her recently-deceased husband’s baby.

Some upcoming storylines will include: Jack being confronted by challenging issues, such as the decision by his daughter Zoe (Jordan Hinson) if she will go to college and leave Eureka or if she will she stay. Jack will possibly have a new love interest when Dr. Tess Fontana (guest star Jaime Rae Newman) comes to Eureka to supervise the re-opening of Global Dynamics infamous ‘Section 5’. And, one of Henry’s (Joe Morton) long-lost loves comes back into town.

SPOILER ALERT:  A baby shower will be held for Allison and the gifts will be very advanced, after all they will be created by staff from Global Dynamics; Jack will be replaced by a very unlikely “new” sheriff – a billion-dollar robot – but that will only last for one episode; a familiar face or two (maybe Olivia D’Abo or Matt Frewer – no specifics have been given on these surprise visits, though) will return to Eureka and a ghost or two will have to be dealt with.  And, Billy Campbell will be guest starring also.

The cast also includes Erica Cerra as Deputy Jo Lupo, Neil Grayston as Fargo, Niall Matter as Zane Donovan, Chris Gauthier as Vincent and Ever Carradine as Lexi.

Eureka was the most watched scripted series on Sci Fi in 2008 delivering its best performance to date. The first half of the 3rd season averaged 3 million viewers per week. Co-creator Jaime Paglia, Charlie Craig and Thania St. John are Executive Producers. The series is produced by Universal Cable Productions.
