SpoilerTV has an interview with ‘Bones’ and ‘Booth’ about the coming season of Bones. Read on!

David Boreanaz
Re: Starting Season Four off in London
“We kick off in London so it’s like- it’s a two parter so to speak and find Bones and Booth in London. She’s speaking at Oxford and I’m speaking in Scotland Yard and there’s an American businessman over here and her – his daughter gets murdered. We pull her car out of the Thames and comes a unity between Scotland Yard, the FBI, the forensics on their end and the forensics on our end. “

Re: Some of the locations they filmed at in London
“We shot at the Guild, which is an old kind of church where they tried people I mean back in the 15th Century. An old pub, Henry VIII’s shooting grounds, his old pub, I mean, the Thames, Big Ben in the background obviously. We’re doing the double-decker bus thing. We’re doing the Mini. We’re doing the City of London with the turnaround I can’t get right. Stuck in the turnaround. You know, all those things. I think what’s beautiful about shooting here is that you really have put these two characters in just a historical place. Everywhere you look there’s just something amazing to look at or very old. So it’s great.”

Re: Booth’s” reaction to “Ian Wexler” (Andrew Buchan) hitting on “Bones” (Emily Deschanel)
“Wexler obviously is the forensics guy over here and he’s, you know, moving in on her, which, you know, that’s fine, but at the same time it’s going to drive me a bit crazy obviously.”

Re: Attempting an accent
“You are going to have to watch the show because Booth does a lot of; he attempts an accent, which makes it even better that – I’m not even going to tell you what happens, but it’s happening in this scene. It’s really good.”

Re: The relationship between “Booth” and “Bones” (Emily Deschanel)
“Booth and Bones are already in bed so to speak, metaphorically speaking. They’re like an old couple. They’re like, you know, Hepburn and Tracy kind of romance, old film. I like to look at them as the bickering couple that continues to grow with each other.”

Re: How “Booth” and “Bones” (Emily Deschanel) will work together in the season premiere
“In this show particularly it’s the type of episode that you, really see these two work together abroad and it’s just different. It’s different for Booth. It’s different for her. S= and that just creates just some really funny moments, whether it’s with the royalty or whether it’s with the common people or whether it’s just with the way that Scotland Yard operates and the FBI operates. It’s just, it’s great to be a part of, you know, this type of an episode.”

Re: British fans
“They are very respectful fans. I mean, I think that they’re; they come right up and be very close to you while you’re doing a close-up and you don’t even hear or see them so it’s just a different type of atmosphere and a different feeling so it’s more of I guess more of a respect level here than they would if you were shooting in different other places.”

Re: While filming in London what did he miss most about the USA
“Coffee. They really don’t have much good coffee here. I mean, it was good cup of coffee, good cheeseburger. Really good cheeseburger. Nice steak on the grill, you know, American stuff. Can’t really beat.”

Emily Deschanel
Re: Why is “Bones” in London?
“Well I am giving a lecture at Oxford. I have my robes on and my little doctorate hood. I’m giving a lecture at Oxford and I have been invited here by Dr. Ian Wexler, another forensic anthropologist, the top forensic anthropologist in England played by Andrew Buchan and he’s kind of like me in England. So I’m invited here to give a lecture on interstitial lamella remodeling, one of my favorite subjects to speak about, and, and Booth falls asleep while I’m giving my lecture which I don’t appreciate. He comes up and tries to spice things up which he probably does. My lecture’s probably very boring unless you’re in the forensic anthropology field, and so that’s what we’re doing right now. “

Re: Filming in London
“Well it’s very different to shoot in London. You know I mean the crew is different, the way they break up the divisions of every department is different. I’ve been enjoying it just because of the scenery is just you know a lot more impressive than what we have in Los Angeles. Just any corner you go to is pretty interesting architecturally and historically in London. So that’s been a treat.”

Re: Tough filming a the Tower Bridge
“I think the most challenging thing we’ve shot was the Tower Bridge. We had to do a shot, we had one minute to get a shot and no other chance to, to get the shot. We needed the Tower Bridge opening in the background and we knew it opened at a specific time, I think it was 10:00 p.m. and I think we got it.”

Re: Are British fans different than American fans
“I don’t know how they’re different. I mean they just get up closer here. In the States there’s kind of a distance, but we don’t really have people coming up during filming and I think people are really over you know people filming in Los Angeles. No one really cares. Here it’s much more exciting I guess. “

Re: She lived in London when she was a young girl
“Well I lived here when I was a little girl. I lived in London for about a year and went to school here and, and enjoyed it a lot. It’s wonderful to be here and, and see the places that I went to as a girl and, and remembered that and what, how it’s changed and how many things are similar. I mean things don’t change as much here I mean architecturally, architecturally because the buildings are so old. They’re you know not like need to be torn down like they would be in Los Angeles.”
