Warner Bros. VIP Studio Tour

By  |

Hi all! The Nice Girls are home from San Diego, and what a whirlwind of activity while we were there. I’m still reeling from all the action and information I gathered there, as well as the experiences of meeting/seeing some of the HOTTEST men in Hollywood today, live and very close up at times.

One of the things we did while we were in LA was to tour the Warner Bros. Studios. They started us off with a ten minute video clip of the history of WB Studios, which was so much fun for this Nice Girl. I love going back and watching old movie clips from some of my favorite movies and tv shows.

We were then ushered outside to where the trams were parked that would take us through the very extensive lot with our tour guide. Points of interest that we saw were:

  • the Ghost Whisperer set, which was formerly Star’s Hollow for Gilmore Girls
  • Same As It Never Was Antiques, also from Ghost Whisperer
  • The Pie Hole from Pushing Daisies
  • George Clooney’s apartment from ER
  • the orphanage from Annie
  • some store fronts from Chuck, ER and Pushing Daisies scenes
  • County General and the L train tracks from Chicago’s Wacker Drive for ER, a Chicago police
car and ambulance used on ER
  • the Batman car from Batman Begins and The Dark Knight
  • We also lucked out when we were on hand to watch a filming of Thomas Dekker in a scene for The Sarah Connor Chronicles, which was very exciting.

We were taken to Central Perk, which was very, very tiny. It was a nice trip down memory lane, however, and we were thrilled to have seen it all. The tour ended with a walk through the museum that was on site. The entire upper floor was dedicated to Harry Potter. We saw costumes and props galore, from Ron Weasley’s Howler to a near life size model of Aragog. Did I mention that we had our pictures taken flagging down the Hogwart’s Express?

There was so much more that I’m not reporting because, although I tried to write everything down rather than commit to memory, I’m sure there are things that I just couldn’t get. I’ll leave that to Nice Girl Melissa to finish off when she’s settled back down to her life again.

Liz is a wife and mother of three from the Nashville area who likes being able to discuss her favorite TV shows with adults sometimes. She is addicted to the Sookie Stackhouse novels and was a huge fan of the HBO series based on the books, True Blood. Her other favorite shows include Chuck, Grimm, Pretty Little Liars, Blindspot, Heroes Reborn, The Goldbergs, Sleepy Hollow, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Agent Carter, just to name a few.
