NiceGirlsTV.com was born out of a desire to write about and discuss our favorite TV shows. Because we fall into the female 25-49 demo, we decided to indulge our girliness and be as pink and frilly as we wanted. But don’t worry, we won’t forget to bring the snark.

Melissa is a Kansas native with a love of TV and the Internet, happily combined at NGTV. When she’s not in front of the TV or computer (or both!), she enjoys reading, cooking, scrapbooking, and traveling. Melissa is addicted to British period dramas, especially romantic fare from Jane Austen and Elizabeth Gaskell. Her current favorite shows include Chuck, Glee, True Blood, The Vampire Diaries, Castle, Nashville, Happy Endings, Cougar Town, The Good Wife, New Girl, Revenge, and Once Upon a Time. BethAnne is a wife and mother of three from the Chicago area who likes being able to discuss her favorite TV shows with adults sometimes. She is addicted to the Sookie Stackhouse novels and can’t wait for season 6 of the HBO series based on the books, True Blood. Her other favorite shows include Chuck, Grimm, Merlin, Pretty Little Liars, Castle, Revolution, Necessary Roughness, Suits, Psych, Once Upon a Time, The Lying Game, Revenge, and Scandal, just to name a few. Using her favorite online handle, Rueben is an East Coast-bred gal who is now a permanent Californian and a lifelong tv-oholic.  She watches at least 25 TV shows a week – preferably dramas, goes to the movies as often as possible, listens to music every waking moment, reads every day and “plays” on the internet every chance she can. Some of her favorite TV shows include Castle, Once Upon a Time, Revenge, Supernatural, NCIS, Doctor Who, Pretty Little Liars, The Vampire Diaries, Drop Dead Diva, Eureka, Lost Girl, Nikita, Leverage, and Burn Notice. Louise lives in the Los Angeles area, and has been a long time California girl. Despite her better judgment, she enjoys shows about the shallow sides of her home city, but will also find time to watch Glee, Bones, Supernatural, Doctor Who, Weeds, Leverage and Mad Men. Genevieve is our junior correspondent, representing the next generation of Nice Girls. She is a huge Chuck fan and is working on a script of her own for the show. Although her TV time is limited (thanks, mom!), she also enjoys Once Upon a Time, Psych, and Modern Family. With 8 younger siblings, she gets to watch a lot of “kid shows”, too. Currently in 8th grade, her other interests include volleyball, basketball, track, playing clarinet in the school band, and not doing her math homework. Cay lives in the Boston metro area and admits to being a long-standing “pop culture junkie”. Her favorite shows are Chuck, Bones, 30 Rock, Person of Interest, and Ringer. Previous obsessions included Alias, Lost and The X-Files. Cay’s coworkers find it hard to believe her insistence that she watches less than an hour of TV a night because she always seems to know what’s going on no matter what show they are talking about. Her family just thinks that she’s “special”. In the hours that she’s not watching TV, Cay can be found reading Entertainment Weekly, cooking, or participating in any one of many outdoor activities. Lisa lives in Atlanta and is our southern connection to all things Hollywood South. She is an Actor who is always out and about. She loves to read, dance and have a good time with friends. Rae is a correspondent for special events when we need additional coverage. Something of a news junkie, she does turn it off occasionally to watch various British miniseries on DVD and has become hooked on Chuck and Psych thanks to other Nice Girls’ recommendations. Other favorites include Leverage, Nikita, The Good Wife, and Drop Dead Diva. Karen lives in Northern VA, but she left her heart in Central California. When she’s not queuing up a TV show playlist on her media drive, she’s likely to be found gaming or reading. Her love of Comics, Sci-Fi, and Fantasy translates into her love of shows like Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead. Frea is a Midwestern writer and blogger with far too little time on her hands and far too many dogs (four at last count, though three of them are small). She’s an avid TV fan and an even bigger Fringe fan. A writer by day and a writer by night (…wait a second…), she spends hours of that time she doesn’t have concocting scenarios to torture imaginary people in her head. Sometimes she even gives them a happy ending. Her favorite TV shows include Gilmore Girls, Fringe, Chuck, Everwood, Castle, Body of Proof, and Downton Abbey.
