Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Teases Sophomore Season

By  |

In a panel where many of the questions felt as if they were directed at characters rather than actors, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. panel shed some light on what the show’s sophomore season has in store.

From the looks of things in the panel, Fitz will survive his injuries (or so we all hope), Skye’s going to have to work out her issues with Ward’s betrayal and May might be cleaning house with some additional power tools.

Lucy Lawless’s role was revealed as a long-time S.H.IE.L.D. agent named Isabel Hartley, who is tough and carries a knife around. A S.T.R.I.K.E agent named Lance Hunter has also been casted by British actor Nick Blood. Reed Diamond has been cast as Daniel Whitehead, a HYDRA agent, who will be one of the first baddies for this season.

One fan asked if there was a redemption arc for Ward how everyone would feel: it was a mixed bag from everyone, including those who he hurt the most. Another fan asked if Deadpool was going to be part of the season (the fan was dressed as Deadpool) and the answer was no – probably because the rights to him are owned by another studio. Skye’s true identity still hasn’t been revealed to Chloe Bennet, but one fan really hoped she’d be Jessica Drew (Spider-Woman). Maybe by the end of the season we’ll actually know who she is.
