NICE BOY OF THE WEEK: Blair Redford

By  |

The Nice Boy of the Week this week is actor Blair Redford, who is best known for his current role on the ABC Family teen soap opera The Lying Game based on the books by Sara Shepard.

Blair grew up in Canton, Georgia, working for several summers in Georgia’s Renaissance Festival and doing stunts. He turned down scholarships after graduating high school in order to act; eventually winning an open call as a team member of the WB Road Crew, spending about a year and a half with that team. It was then that he was approached by a talent scout, moving to Los Angeles where he soon landed the role of Scott “Scotty” Grainger, Jr. on the soap opera The Young and the Restless in July 2005. He remained with the soap opera until 2006.

The following year he had guest roles on episodes of the short-lived series Cane and the fan favorite drama October Road before taking over the role of Miguel Lopez-Fitzgerald on the soap opera Passions when it moved from NBC to DirecTV for its final season.

In 2008, he made guest appearances in episodes of the ABC Family drama Lincoln Heights as well as the short-lived ABC drama FlashForward. That same year he also had a small part in the box office film The Day the Earth Stood Still.

He then had a guest role in an episode of CSI: Miami in 2009, following that in 2010 with a role in the failed CW pilot Betwixt as well as guest roles in episodes of The CW series 90210 and the short-lived ABC Family drama Huge. That same year he also had a small role in the box office film Burlesque that starred singer Christina Aguilera, actor Cam Gigandet and the one and only Cher.

It was in the following year that he appeared in several episodes of the ABC Family drama Switched at Birth before landing the role of bad boy Ethan Whitehorse in the ABC Family drama The Lying Game that has brought him great attention among younger viewers.

An avid tennis player, Blair was also recently listed as one of TV’s Sexiest Men by BuddyTV. Fans can follow Blair on Twitter @Blair_Redford.
