“The Vampire Diaries” Gets Full Season

I can’t say I’m surprised about the news that the CW has ordered a full season of The Vampire Diaries, but I can say that I’m really happy about it! The new series has been the breakout hit for the CW, with ratings steadily climbing since its premiere. According to Variety, “Vampire Diaries” now ranks as CW’s most-watched series and is the net’s No. 2 show with women 18-34, behind only “Gossip Girl.”

Remember when I said I wasn’t sure about this series having legs to keep it going through the fall season? Not only have I been increasingly pleased by The Vampire Diaries, but I’m looking forward to a season two announcement by the CW. That should be a no-brainer.
