Nice Girls Posts

Children of the Earth – BBC America 9/8c “Day 2” – The Torchwood team is forced underground as the government hunts them down.

As you’ve seen this week, some of the Nice Girls around here love Torchwood and we’re all excited for the season to start. Luckily for me, with Comic Con on the way, I secured (hopefully) some interview times with the Executive Producers and Director. But, as you can probably guess, with the con being Wednesday through Sunday, the very nice …

Bright and early tomorrow morning I (along with two good friends) will embark on a journey – dare I say a “trek” – to San Diego for the 2009 Comic Con. This is my annual ‘vacation’ every year; one that I look forward to with much anticipation and a little bit of dread too. My dread aside, this event always …

The long-awaited new season of Torchwood arrives in the US today in the form of the Children of the Earth mini-series. Louise will have spoiler-free previews every day, in addition to the snippets provided in the NGTV Guide. In other events, Morgana, has dream in which she sees Sophia …

These are just a few of the recent television shows that were based on books, and have become popular shows we love(d) to watch. Often, we watch these shows and then we want to go read the books. Sometimes we are disappointed that the books are not exactly  like …

Happy Friday! Here’s how we’re wrapping up our week: Eureka – SyFy 9/8c “Your Face Or Mine” – Carter takes a grueling recertification exam that tests him physically and psychologically; Allison pitches a town-wide DNA-monitoring security system to Henry that injures Deputy Lupo during the inaugural scan.

When you are asked what your ideal picture of the “woman of television sci-fi” would look like, who do you see? Are you the person who sees Buffy Summers sprinting across a graveyard chasing after a vampire? Do you see Major (nee Colonel) Samantha Carter in uniform barking orders on some planet in another galaxy? Do you watch Sarah Connor …
