Nice Girls Posts

The past few weeks have been a whirlwind of activity with the annual Paley Fest being held from February 26 to March 14 at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills. This year I had the opportunity to attend the following panels: Lost, NCIS, The Vampire Diaries, FlashForward and Glee. Each panel had its share of fun and excitement, allowing the …

Sarah Shahi was one of the reasons I enjoyed Life (the other being Damien Lewis’s fruit-obsessed detective), so I was happy to see her guest in a recent episode of Psych as Gus’s thrill-seeking secret girlfriend. Looks like USA was paying attention, too: the network has greenlit a new series called Facing Kate with Sarah Shahi as the lead. Co-starring …

Are we the only ones suffering from Gossip Girl fatigue? You may have noticed it missing from our Monday night lineup; we really didn’t miss it when it was on hiatus. Speaking of hiatus, Castle is a repeat tonight in advance of the doubleheader coming next Sunday & Monday. Chuck – NBC 8/7c “Chuck vs. the Tic Tac” – Casey …

In the press kit for their new game show, Minute To Win It, NBC wisely included relevant items from the show: Oreos, M&Ms, golf balls, playing cards, etc. All of these items are part of the various challenges the contestants undertake in hopes of winning that elusive million dollar prize. But after the Oreos have been eaten and the golf …

I’m starting to get a little crazy-eyed over how long it’s been since there was a new Bones or Vampire Diaries. The Mentalist – CBS 10/9c “Code Red” – When Dr. Alicia Seberg, a government research scientist, is exposed to a deadly toxin while at work and has only hours to live, she calls Patrick Jane and the CBI to …

It’s almost a comedy at this stage, but for the last two years around the Paley Festival, I’m sick. It’s a sad excuse, but those recaps have been delayed for the sake of feeling like a reason person. With the time at home, I’ve been sleeping while listening to Veronica Mars (never a bad combination, let me say but the …

It’s another season finale tonight when Psych goes out with a bang. The New Adventures of Old Christine – CBS 8/7c “Subway, Somehow” – In an effort to teach Ritchie’s class some street smarts, Christine encourages the school to let them take the subway on a field trip but ends up stranded at the station as the train leaves without …

Tonight is the thrilling season finale of Psych and it promises to leave you spellbound. In tonight’s episode, a killer targets Shawn using scenarios from classic Hitchcock films. Clues left at the crime scene point to Mr. Yang, but could it be a copycat? Find out tonight as Psych concludes this season with Mr. Yin Presents, featuring the return of …

Last week I attended the Cougar Town panel at the Paley Festival, a two-week long celebration of television. After a clip from The Lucy Show from the Paley Center’s archives and a quick introduction by Bill Lawrence, the lights dimmed for a preview of an upcoming episode of Cougar Town, much to the audience’s delight. Not wanting to spoil the …

Working steadily since landing her first television appearance in the mid-1990’s, Maggie Lawson has been slyly scene-stealing for the past 15 years. After a string of guest appearances in shows like “Unhappily Ever After,” “Step by Step,” Cybill,” “Boy Meets World,” and “Home Improvement,” she began testing the feature film waters with appearances in the films “I’ve Been Waiting for …
