Nice Girls Talk

Is This a Cure-all?

If you listened to the radio show this week, you’ll all well know I’m not having a great week. But, I suppose, the one thing to make it better was all of the TV airing. In addition to all of the discussion of Gossip Girl, I was intrigued by last night’s Supernatural. Kripke and company are doing their very best …

Eric Kripke, I Heart You!

Season four of Supernatural premiered last Thursday night, and this Nice Girl didn’t get to watch it until two days later. Had I known what was in store for me in this season opener, I would have thrown the husband out with the children, grabbed my favorite Don’t Look! pillow and a glass of merlot, and donned my Hello Kitty …

Veronica Mars Reunion on Cupid

As Louise predicted on last week’s NGTV radio show, recently available producer Diane Ruggiero (she left The Ex List a couple of weeks ago, citing irreconcible differences with CBS) has hooked up with Rob Thomas for his remake of Cupid. “She starts today for me,” Rob told Kristin at E! this morning. “I couldn’t be happier.” Ruggiero and Thomas were …

Quality Time in the City of Angeles

The last week for this Nice Girl has been far too busy. I suppose that it’s an advantage to life in Los Angeles, but it’s nice to recap for everyone else. The Paley Center for Media (formally the Museum of Television and Radio) has numerous events throughout the year for members and nonmembers alike. Every Fall, the center’s two locations …

The Ex-List Can Add Another Ex

From Variety: Diane Ruggiero is leaving the show. For this Nice Girl, Diane was one of the draws for this show. I was looking to see the same spark she brought to Veronica Mars to this, and I suppose that the first six episodes will be all I’ve got left. I’m choosing to ignore the potential implications about the show …

BuddyTV Gets Supernatural

Or, as I like to affectionately call it, “Debbie Does the J Boys”. That’s right, folks, BuddyTV’s Debbie Chang got to visit the Supernatural set recently. (Sigh) I have decided, rather than hauling the green-eyed monster called Jealousy around like a slimy, creepy, backpack, I’m going to live vicariously through Debbie. That being said, here’s an account of ‘our’ meeting …

Ratings for Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles

It’s not a bad start to the season for Sarah Connor. According to TV by the Numbers, she drew 6.343 million viewers, an adults 18-49 rating of 2.4 and an adults 18-34 rating of 2.1. So she won the demo for adults 18-49 and came in second for viewers overall. Well done!

Take Me To The Fringe, Peter Bishop!

So the premiere of the much-hyped Fringe wasn’t as jaw-dropping as some other premiere episodes I’ve seen (including Abrams’ own Lost), but it was solid, it was entertaining, and it set us up for what should be an interesting ride. Roberto Orci has been comparing the show to The X-Files and I absolutely see the connection. Except this time Mulder …

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles – Day After the Premiere

So, it’s the day after the premiere of T:TSCC, and I’m still stunned. What a wild, exciting way to begin the second season! I have a feeling this season will top its first one. I have to admit to not seeing Thomas Dekker in anything else but this show and the first season of “Heroes”, so I don’t have anything …

The things I Notice

While I sipped on a vodka tonic and watched the new 90210, I kept looking at a character and wondering why he looks so familiar to me. The more I watched (and liked), the more this one guy kept stick in my mind. Luckily for the internet I was able to figure out who was playing the character. Next came …
