PALEYFEST 2015: Arrow and The Flash

As part of the closing weekend of the thirty-second PaleFest, the two week celebration of television honored two of the CW’s bigger shows: Arrow and The Flash. HART OF DIXIE: “61 Candles” {Recap}

As only Zoe and Lemon can do after so many years as occasional enemies, they fight over the last diaper genie at Frank’s. After the baby shower, Tom and Wanda have plenty of questions about the baby, leading to Wade holding a baby …

Why is Wade flirting with the mail carrier? Over Zumba and Egyptian cotton sheets? At least Zoe’s got the right idea to chide him for it and hopefully he’ll change soon enough. Over at chez Breeland, Lemon’s upset that Alice was in town and even more upset that Alice wants to see both Lemon and Magnolia. Lemon’s in a sour …

ARROW: “Nanda Parbat” {Recap}

As has been the case in many of these Arrow episodes, we open on a flashback – this time of Ra’s and Nessa talking about Sara’s “death” from the ship, but only so that we know that Ra’s still wants Oliver dead, but that’s nothing compared to watching Merlyn fight both Thea and Oliver in the basement. Merlyn wants to …

AGENT CARTER: “Valediction” {Roundtable}

And here we are at the finale, which gave us so many satisfying endings and then raised some rather evil questions in turn. 1. Jarvis is so wasted as the straight man, agree or disagree? Rueben: Disagree, he wasn’t just the straight man, he helped add a little comic relief when needed or was used an, unjustly, punching bag; but …

ARROW: “The Return” {Recap}

Oliver and Thea have gone off to the Island for some bonding and shared workouts before Oliver goes back to some flashbacks of working for Waller. This will all payoff later, I’m sure, but right now it’s just talk and no action. However, there’s some action going on with Quentin Lance is drinking in a bar rather than being on …

AGENT CARTER: “SNAFU” {Roundtable}

Just this one and the finale, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t plenty of questions to ask and situations to ponder. 1. A round robin interrogation means that all the men think that Howard Stark is still the big bad, but as soon as it gets to Cap’s blood, Peggy clams up. Why do you think that Jarvis set up …
