THE SECRET CIRCLE: Development of Powers

The Secret Circle is one of our favorite new shows of the fall season and we’ve only seen the pilot episode, so far. However, I think it will be interesting to see how the Circle’s powers develop as the show progresses. Will these powers change from person to person? We haven’t seen whether or not each individual Circle member has …

NEW GIRL: The Adorkable Zooey Deschanel

Watching Zooey Deschanel in the pilot for Fox’s new comedy series, New Girl, it’s easy to believe that the show was created for her, and that Jess is really an extension of Zooey, herself. While “New Girl” wasn’t exactly created with Zooey in mind, she feels that maybe it could have been. “I know it wasn’t written for me initially, …

Women of Emmy’s Past: Stockard Channing

When I think of Stockard Channing, Rizzo from the hit musical “Grease” instantly comes to mind. However, the first time I saw Channing was in a made-for-television movie back in the ’70s called “The Girl Most Likely To”. I loved her instantly. She’s one of those versatile actresses that can do it all and make it look effortless. A fact …

Nice Boy of the Week: Arthur Darvill

We’re going to go sci-fi with our Nice Boy this week, and I can think of no one better than The Doctor’s sidekick, Arthur Darvill. Arthur plays Rory on the popular series, Doctor Who, now in its sixth series after a relaunch in 2005. Arthur began his career at the very young age of 10, as he joined the Stage2 Youth …

True Blood Recap: Season Finale Shortens the Cast List

Last night HBO aired the season 4 finale of True Blood. I’m still in shock over the enormity of this episode. I think if I had to rate it on a scale of one to ten, as season finales go, this on had to be 11 1/2. So much happened to wrap up the season and then again to launch …
