Take Two: Thoughts on Smoking Gun

By  |

Take Two brought us Hollywood intrigue this week with a story of blackmail, cheating and betrayal.

Leah’s Thoughts:
The Good

I am all in for this show because it is lighter, kind of silly just fun summer show. I agree with Ange, the ying/yang works for me. Even though the case wasn’t a huge whodunit seeing them work it together was great.

The Bad
So the wig is a clear winner for the bad.

Roz’s Thoughts:
The Good

Teamwork is great! I find it awkward that Eddie can’t think in the same way as Sam does, but it makes for some good silliness to see them fumbling but still coming out on the good side in the end. Also Eddie’s security friend is a winner and I need more of him in the show.

The Bad
That wig for the undercover sting was just FUGLY! I’m also annoyed by the side story with Sam’s court date, but I suppose we need to establish more trust between Sam and Eddie.

Rueben’s Thoughts:
The Good

Unlike Roz, I actually wasn’t bothered by Eddie stepping up for Sam at her court date. After all they needed a way to keep Sam “on the case” with Eddie without her needing to shadow him for that potential movie. I still love seeing Jordan Gavaris, but it’d be great to see him more often. Just saying… [wink!]

The Bad
I have to agree with Roz – that wig worn by Sam was just AWFUL! She was hilarious to watch in that whole scene, though. I have to admit that I figure out the “whodunnit” well before Sam and Eddie. Stop being so predictable, please!

Ange’s Thoughts:
The Good

The ying and yang routine these guys have going amuses me – particularly that opening scene with Eddie getting annoyed by Sam’s voiceovers, ha! I was happy to see more Sam/ME interactions too. (Not at all biased when it comes to Jordan Gavaris…)

The Bad
Yep, jumping on the wig bandwagon here – it was pretty bad! I also figured out whodunnit way before the reveal but it’s a light-hearted summer viewing and I’m also chalking it up to all my years of watching Veronica Mars.;)

TAKE TWO airs Thursday 10/9c on ABC
