The following list provides the dates of the new dramas that will air on streaming services as well as the major and cable networks and the made-for-TV movies and more that will all air during November:
November 1 – The season finale of the SundanceTV mini-series Liar will air at 10 PM
November 2 – The new CBS drama S.W.A.T. will debut at 10 PM
Show Synopsis: Inspired by the TV series and the feature film, the series stars Shemar Moore as a locally born S.W.A.T. sergeant, former Marine Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson who is newly tasked to run a specialized tactical unit that is the last stop in law enforcement in Los Angeles. The cast includes Stephanie Sigman (Narcos), Kenny Johnson (Secrets and Lies), Lina Esco (Kingdom), Jay Harrington (Better Off Ted) and Peter Onorati.
November 3 – The new Netflix series Alias Grace will debut online today
Show Synopsis: The series follows Grace Marks (Sarah Gadon from 11.22.63), a poor, young Irish immigrant and domestic servant in Upper Canada who, along with stable hand James McDermott (Kerr Logan), was convicted of the brutal murders of their employer, Thomas Kinnear, and his housekeeper, Nancy Montgomery (Anna Paquin from True Blood), in 1843. James was hanged while Grace was sentenced to life imprisonment. Grace became one of the most enigmatic and notorious women of 1840s Canada for her supposed role in the sensational double murder, and was eventually exonerated after 30 years in jail. Her conviction was controversial, and sparked much debate about whether Grace was actually involved in the murder, or merely an unwitting accessory. The series also stars Paul Gross (Due South), Zachary Levi (Chuck), Rebecca Liddiard (Houdini and Doyle) and Edward Holcroft (Kingsman movies).
November 4 – The Hallmark Channel original movie Christmas Festival of Ice will debut at 8 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Those years of law school pay off for Emma (Taylor Cole) but not in ways one would expect. When she finds out that her beloved ice-sculpting contest, part of her hometown’s Christmas festival, has been canceled, she springs into action. Determined to keep it going, she enlists sponsors and artists. Nick (Damon Runyan), the town’s ace artisan, isn’t interested in competing this year, but Emma wants him as her teammate. Considering what she’s managed to accomplish, Nick is impressed and signs on. As Emma and Nick work together, she realizes there’s more to life than legal briefs. Transformed by Emma’s can-do spirit, Nick is invigorated, too. They just might have a shot at winning this very special Christmas contest – and a lot more. Wendy Crewson also stars.
November 4 – The Hallmark Movies & Mysteries holiday movie The Perfect Christmas Present will air at 9 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Tom Jacobs (Sam Page from The Bold Type) has built an entire business around helping clients find the perfect gift for their loved ones. Since his company’s busiest time of the year is the holidays, he’s earned himself the nickname Mr. Christmas. When Tom’s good friend Paul comes to him asking for help in finding a gift for his girlfriend, Jenny (Tara Holt from Z Nation), Mr. Christmas finds himself in a bit of trouble. The more he learns about Jenny during his research, the more he likes her, and the guiltier he feels being caught between his heart and his best friend.
November 4 – The original movie The Lost Wife of Robert Durst will debut at 8 PM on Lifetime
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Based on the book by investigative journalist Matt Birkbeck, the film focuses on young and wide-eyed Kathie (Katharine McPhee from Scorpion) falls in love with charming, yet quirky real estate scion Robert Durst (Daniel Gillies from The Originals), only to find their marriage turning stranger, darker and more disturbing as time passes. But when Kathie disappears in 1982, her family and friends are deeply disturbed that her disappearance isn’t taken seriously by police.
November 5 – The new UP TV holiday movie Second Chance Christmas will debut at 7 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: When an accident causes a woman to lose her memory, her husband Jack does everything in his power to keep her from remembering that they are total opposites and that their marriage is doomed. Now Jack is hoping for a second chance, and a little Christmas magic, to help rekindle their relationship and fall in love all over again. The film stars Tilky Jones (Nashville) and Katrina Begin (Boomtown).
November 5 – Star Trek: Discovery will air its season finale on CBS All Access at 8:30 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Holly Kuhn (Brooke D’Orsay from Royal Pains) is on her annual mission of finding a majestic specimen for The National Tree. While searching for the perfect Christmas fir for the Washington, D.C. Holiday Tree Lighting ceremony, Holly receives a letter from a boy detailing why his town boasts the most beautiful evergreen. Holly travels to the boy’s quaint New England town, where she meets his handsome uncle, Sam McCary (Marc Blucas from Necessary Roughness). Sam owns the land from which it grows and is a protective steward. It holds such deep meaning for Sam that he’s not about to let it be chopped down even for such an honor. Still, Holly finds herself falling for Sam, and they discover the magic that this perfect tree can bring, just in time for the holidays.
November 5 – The original movie Christmas in the Air will debut at 9 PM on the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Lydia (Catherine Bell), a successful professional organizer, is constantly trying to grow her business, but even her ambition takes a back seat to love when she meets Robert (Eric Close), a frazzled widower with two young children. A toy inventor, Robert is asked to present his new Christmas toy line to a superstore. His challenge is he only has 12 days to get his life and his business in order.
November 7 – The new series The Long Road Home will air its two-hour debut on the National Geographic Channel at 9 PM
Show Synopsis: Based on best seller of the same name, the series relives a heroic fight for survival during the Iraq War, when the 1st Cavalry Division from Fort Hood was ferociously ambushed on April 4, 2004, in Sadr City, Baghdad – a day that came to be known as “Black Sunday.” The series cuts between the action on the ground in Iraq and that of the homefront back in Texas, where wives and families await news for 48 hellish hours, expecting the worst. The cast includes Jason Ritter (Kevin Probably Saves the World), Jeremy Sisto (Ice and Suburgatory), E.J. Bonilla (Unforgettable and Revenge), Sarah Wayne Callies (Colony and The Walking Dead) and Kate Bosworth (The Art of More)
November 7 – Damnation is the new period piece drama that will debut on the USA Network at 10 PM
Show Synopsis: The series is set in the 1930s American heartland, centering on the mythic conflict and bloody struggle between big money and the downtrodden, God and greed, charlatans and prophets. The cast includes Logan Marshall-Green (Quarry), Zach McGowan (The 100), Christopher Heyerdahl (Van Helsing), Sarah Jones (Alcatraz), Gabriel Mann (Revenge) and Killian Scott (Ripper Street).
November 10 – The CMT original romantic comedy movie Road Less Traveled will debut at 9 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: American Idol runner-up Lauren Alaina stars as Charlotte, a successful songwriter struggling to balance her career and her dream of the perfect wedding. She returns to her rural hometown of Harmony, Tenn. where she faces her past and reconsiders her future, especially after a chance encounter with her first love, Ray (Donny Boaz from Six and NCIS). The cast also includes Jason Burkey (The Walking Dead) and Dallas alum Charlene Tilton
November 11 – The Lifetime original movie Oscar Pistorious: Blade Runner Killer will debut at 8 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: The film tells the story of the sprint runner dubbed the “Blade Runner,” and his rise to fame as a gold medalist Paralympic champion and as the first double-leg amputee to participate in the Olympics. The film stars Andreas Damm (Person of Interest) and model-turned actress Toni Garrn.
November 11 – The holiday movie The Sweetest Christmas will debut at 8 PM on the Hallmark Channel
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: When struggling pastry chef Kylie Watson (Lacey Chabert) learns she’s made it to the finals of the American Gingerbread Competition, she thinks her competitive spirit has finally paid off and hopes the publicity will help her jumpstart her new café. There’s just one problem – the oven she’s supposed to use breaks down right before the contest. Determined to enter, she reaches out to Nick Mazannti (Lea Coco from Queen Sugar), her old boyfriend from culinary school who gave up his dream of being a pastry chef to take over his family’s pizzeria. Nick allows her to use his industrial pizza oven at night to craft her ambitious gingerbread confections. As the two reminisce about the dreams of their youth, their romance is rekindled. But just as Kylie is on the cusp of taking the grand prize – and embracing true love – things get complicated when her ex-boyfriend takes drastic steps to win her back. Kylie realizes she must embrace the Christmas Spirit or risk losing both the contest and her new love. The film also stars Jonathan Adams (Last Man Standing).
November 11 – The Hallmark Movies & Mysteries movie A Song for Christmas will debut at 9 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Pop superstar Adelaide Kay (Becca Tobin from Glee) is so fed up with her controlling manager that she sneaks off the tour bus after their latest squabble. Though exhilarated to be free, she finds herself stranded in the freezing cold of a Pennsylvania winter, with no money and no plan. A local family, the Lapps, take her in. They know the true meaning of the season, even if they’re close to losing their dairy farm. No one in the family recognizes Adelaide except Dillon (Kevin McGarry from Heartland), the oldest son. He figures she’s the ticket to fast cash and plots to snap photos of Adelaide around the farm and sell them to tabloids. What he doesn’t plan, however, is their mutual attraction. As they get to know each other, Dillon has two realizations: Profiteering from invading Adelaide’s privacy is wrong and his uptight girlfriend is not the one for him. When Adelaide performs a song, which Dillon’s kid sister wrote, a lot of money is earned which aids the Lapps and other strapped farmers.
November 12 – Engaging Father Christmas is the new Hallmark Movies & Mysteries movie that will debut at 9 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: It’s Christmas and Miranda (Erin Krakow from When Calls the Heart) leaves Seattle with a suitcase full of presents to join her long lost family in Carlton Heath, where she will experience the joyful traditions she missed as a child. Last Christmas, Miranda fell in love with Ian (Niall Matter from Eureka), a local man who helped her as she searched for her father, James Whitcomb, a famous theatre actor she believed had a connection to the town. At his widow Margaret’s (Wendie Malick) request, Miranda agrees to keep it a secret to protect the family from scandal. This Christmas, she fears the warm welcome she received from the Whitcomb family will soon turn cold when Miranda receives an anonymous text from someone who threatens to expose her identity.
November 12 – The Hallmark Channel movie Enchanted Christmas will debut at 8 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Weeks before Christmas, interior designer Laura (Alexa PenaVega) is sent to her hometown to remodel a landmark hotel. As Laura is kept busy with the renovations, her eight-year-old daughter Nicole is introduced to the art of dancing at a local dance studio. Laura is surprised to find that the studio’s owner is Ricardo (Carlos PenaVega), her old high school sweetheart and former dance partner. When Laura and Ricardo reconnect, sparks fly on and off the dance floor. Christmas traditions become the backdrop for spirited dancing and unexpected romance.
November 12 – The holiday movie A Very Country Christmas will debut at 7 PM on UP TV
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Jeanette Williams (Bea Santos from Murdoch Mysteries) is a busy single parent, trying to make the best life for her and her daughter. With no time to follow current celebrity gossip, Jeanette is unaware of when a country superstar returns to their small town to escape the intrusive paparazzi and the chaos of fame. A chance meeting between the two have them both letting their guards down and opening their hearts to the possibility of romance. The cast includes Greyston Holt (Bitten) and Greg Vaughn (Days of Our Lives).
November 14 – The new Hulu series Future Man will debut online today
Show Synopsis: Josh Hutcherson (The Hunger Games) stars as Josh Futturman, a janitor by day/gamer by night who is recruited by mysterious visitors to travel through time in order to prevent the extinction of humanity. The cast includes Eliza Coupe (Happy Endings and Quantico) and Ed Begley, Jr.
November 18 – The Lifetime movie I Am Elizabeth Smart will debut at 8 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: In June 2002, Elizabeth Ann Smart (Alana Boden) was a 14-year-old girl when she was abducted from her Salt Lake City home by religious fanatic Brian David Mitchell (Skeet Ulrich). He brought her to a hilly encampment where, with his twisted accomplice Wanda Barzee (Deirdre Lovejoy), he held Elizabeth captive. She was starved, drugged, raped and subjected to bizarre religious rituals until, nine months later, she enabled her own rescue.
November 18 – Coming Home for Christmas is the latest holiday movie set to debut on the Hallmark Channel at 8 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Allie Richfield (Danica McKellar) is at a crossroads when she lands a job as house manager for the exquisite Ashford Estate in the Virginia countryside. While preparing the place for sale, Allie plans one final Christmas Eve gala for the Marley family, though they seem to be a family in name only. There’s Kip Marley (Andrew Francis from Chesapeake Shores), who never met a party he didn’t like; Robert (Neal Bledsoe from The Mysteries of Laura), the handsome but all-business executor of the estate; Sloane (Chelan Simmons from The L.A. Complex), who arrives with her two young children, sans husband, and the 90-year-old matriarch, Pippa, a spitfire who doesn’t want to put the house up for sale at all. As Allie is inserted into the home and the lives of the Marley family, she finds herself drawn to Robert – even as Kip pursues her.
November 18 – The holiday movie Christmas Homecoming will debut at 9 PM on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: A military widow (Julie Benz), whose faith in Christmas has lapsed, rents an apartment to a handsome Army Captain (Michael Shanks), recovering from an injury in battle, and whose faith in Christmas is inspirational. As hey team up to save the town’s military museum with a Christmas fundraising event, these two ‘wounded birds’ find themselves falling in love – and being healed by the magic of Christmas.

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: While settling his father’s estate, Finn Conrad (David Haydn-Jones) becomes suspicious as to why he left a nurse $50,000. His dad knew her for less than two months before he died. Just before Christmas, Finn wants to reclaim what he considers his family’s money, so he goes undercover to investigate the bed-and-breakfast the nurse has recently taken over. When Finn meets Willa (Autumn Reeser), he discovers she wasn’t stealing his father’s money, she’s the single mother of a sick boy who needed an operation. Finn’s dad paid for the operation and financed Willa’s dream of running the Bramble House B&B. Though Willa and Finn are protective of their hearts for different reasons, they fall in love – until she discovers his true identity and the reason for him being there. Now Finn must gain Willa’s trust to make this a Christmas to remember. The film also stars Teryl Rothery.
November 19 – The Hallmark Channel movie A Gift To Remember will debut at 8 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: An accident between a sweet bookshop worker and a handsome stranger leaves him without his memory. Determined to help him figure out who he is, she finds herself stepping outside of her comfort zone. In the process, she discovers taking risks can sometimes lead to the greatest rewards. The cast includes Ali Liebert, Peter Porte and Tina Lifford.
November 19 – Poldark will air its season finale on PBS at 9 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: When Emily (Laura Bell Bundy from Hart of Dixie), a struggling baker in a small town, receives a handmade Christmas calendar from a secret admirer, the local residents become obsessed with finding out the identity of the sender. The film also stars Brendon Zub (The 100).
November 19 – The new Netflix streaming series Marvel’s The Punisher will debut online today as well as the sixth and final season of Longmire
Show Synopsis (Marvel’s The Punisher): Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal), known throughout New York City as “The Punisher” after exacting revenge on those responsible for the death of his family, uncovers a larger conspiracy beyond what was done to him and his family. The cast includes Ben Barnes (Westworld), Ebon Moss-Bachrach (The Last Ship), Amber Rose Revah (Indian Summers) and Jaime Ray Newman (Bates Motel).
November 20 – The Ovation drama Halcyon will air its season finale at 10 PM
November 21 – The new Hulu series Marvel’s Runaways will debut online today
Show Synopsis: Every teenager thinks their parents are evil. What if you found out they actually were? Marvel’s Runaways is the story of six diverse teenagers who can barely stand each other but who must unite against a common foe: their parents. The cast includes James Marsters (Buffy, the Vampire Slayer), Annie Wersching (24), Julian McMahon (Nip/Tuck), Brigid Brannagh (Army Wives), Kevin Weisman (Alias and Scorpion), Ever Carradine (The Handmaid’s Tale) and Gregg Sulkin (Faking It) [among others].
November 22 – The Netflix streaming series Godless will debut online today
Show Synopsis: This seven-part epic western focuses on notorious criminal Frank Griffin (Jeff Daniels from The Newsroom) and his gang of outlaws, who are on a mission of revenge against Roy Goode (Jack O’Connell from Unbroken), a son-like protégé who betrayed the brotherhood. While on the run, Roy seeks refuge with hardened widower Alice Fletcher (Michelle Dockery from Downton Abbey and Good Behavior), an outcast herself, in a worn-down, isolated mining town of La Belle, NM — governed mainly by women. When word reaches La Belle that Griffin is headed their way, the town bands together to defend against the murderous gang in a lawless western frontier.
November 22 – The Hallmark Channel holiday film With Love, Christmas will debut at 8 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Just how secret does an office secret Santa have to be? In Melanie’s case, she finds it’s just a little too covert. The assignments were distributed for Secret Santa, and Melanie is a little worried but very excited that she was given her crush, Donovan. She comes up with thoughtful gifts and spot-on notes. Donovan is so taken by his Secret Santa, he starts to fall in love – only someone else is stealing her credit, pretending to be his Secret Santa. Now Melanie must work to prove to Donovan that she is the right one as far as Santas and girlfriends go. The film stars Emilie Ullerup (Chesapeake Shores and Sanctuary) and Aaron O’Connell (The Haves and the Have Nots).
November 23 – The PBS 90-minute special presentation of Anne of Green Gables: The Good Stars will debut at 8 PM
Special Presentation Synopsis: When Anne Shirley turns 13, she faces complex issues with her friends, inspirational adults and Marilla and Matthew. At the same time, she begins a friendship with Gilbert Blythe that emotionally escalates to disrupt the status quo of her peaceful world. Her free-spirited nature is challenged by her perceived need to become sensible, and her journey toward this goal is fraught with confusion and more than a few unfortunate – albeit, amusing – mishaps.
November 23 – The Mistletoe Inn is the latest, new holiday movie set to debut on the Hallmark Channel at 8 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Beloved, fastidious, high school teacher Lucy Farebrother (Alicia Witt) inherits a castle in the Scottish Highlands at Christmas. Lucy surprises her boyfriend Alex with a Christmas dream vacation to Scotland to celebrate the couple’s seventh anniversary. Over the long flight, the couple dreams of the life they will make together in the most enchanted place. Imagine their surprise when they discover before Lucy can move into the home that is her birthright, she must first come up with a plan to convince moody, artistic novelist Duncan MacBain – a squatter in the castle – to leave.
November 24 – The Hallmark Channel movie Finding Santa will debut at 8 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Jessica was delighted to start running her New England town’s Christmas events after her mom died. The main event is the parade on Christmas Day when the jolly man in red greets the crowd. For the last 30 years, Henry, owner of a famous Santa School, played St. Nick. When Henry falls ill, and everyone else he has trained is already booked, Jessica’s in a predicament. The only possible replacement is Henry’s son, Ben, a driver who never wanted to follow in his father’s shoes. Desperate, Jessica sets off 200 miles north to find Ben and lures him to town by hiring him to drive her back. The trek is daunting; the real Kris Kringle makes it around the world easier than Ben and Jessica on their return. Still, once Ben dons the red suit, he feels the spirit of Christmas – and soon begins to realize he may have found the new, real-life Mrs. Claus. The film stars Jodie Sweetin (Full House).
November 25 – The Christmas Train is the latest Hallmark Hall of Fame, holiday movie that will debut on both the Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries at 8 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Disillusioned, globetrotting journalist Tom Langdon (Dermot Mulroney) must get from Washington, D.C. to Los Angeles in time for Christmas. Forced to take the intercontinental trip by train, and determined to chronicle his adventure, Tom finds himself westbound with a variety of characters. On the train is renowned movie producer Max (Danny Glover), Max’s script doctor and protégé Eleanor (Kimberly Williams-Paisley), and Agnes (Joan Cusack) who occupies the cabin opposite Tom’s and seems to know his business better than he does. While all passengers on the Christmas train appear to be headed for the same destination, Tom has no idea that the rugged locomotives taking him across America will instead detour straight into his heart – into rude awakenings, his wildest hopes and dreams, and toward the opportunity for love Tom thought was lost forever.
November 25 – The Lifetime original holiday movie Wrapped Up In Christmas will air at 8 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Christmas is one of Heather’s (Tatyana Ali, Fresh Prince of Bel Air) favorite times of year but this year, as the manager of the upscale Town Center Mall, she has to be the Christmas Grinch and cancel the leases of under-performing stores. One afternoon, Heather’s niece, Molly asks the mall Santa to help find a boyfriend for her beloved aunt. Unbeknownst to Molly and Heather, “Santa” is actually Ryan (Brendan Fehr, Guardians of the Galaxy), who is working at the mall for the holidays and helping his Aunt Patty run her failing toy store. As Heather and Ryan begin to fall for each other, they have no idea of one another’s true identity: Heather who is tasked with closing his aunt’s store and Ryan who is too ashamed to tell Heather that he is the actually the mall Santa. Will Molly’s Christmas wish come true, or will Heather be stuck as the Town Center Grinch? The film also stars Kim Fields, Jasmine Guy, Dan Lauria and Jackee Harry.
November 25 – The Lifetime mini-movie A Family for Christmas will air at 10 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Becky and her family are always in a hurry and rarely has the time to speak with her sweet, elderly neighbor Grace who’s always trying to start conversation with her. When Becky discovers that none of Grace’s grown children will be home for Christmas, Becky decides to invite Grace to join her family for Christmas Eve.
November 26 – A Very Merry Toy Store is the new Lifetime holiday movie that will debut at 8 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Connie Forrester (Melissa Joan Hart, Sabrina, the Teenage Witch), a young single mom, and Will DiNova (Mario Lopez, Holiday in Handcuffs) each run their small, family-owned toy stores in Connecticut. Similar to their families, Connie and Will have been business rivals for year, until both of their livelihoods fall into jeopardy when the big box toy store “Roy’s Toys” has its grand opening right before Christmas. In order to save their businesses, Connie and Will band together to save the stores that have defined their families for generations, and in the process, might just find love in time for Christmas. The film also stars Beth Broderick, Brian Dennehy and Billy Gardell.
November 26 – The Lifetime mini-movie The Snowman will air at 10 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: After wishing for the perfect man, a woman awakes to discover her new handsome neighbor is actually the snowman she built the day before, who has now come to life. But when she awakes on Christmas morning, he is gone and the snowman is back. Could it all have been a dream?
November 26 – The Hallmark Channel movie Switched for Christmas will debut at 8 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Just because they are identical does not mean these twins even like each other. Estranged twin sisters get together for an obligatory pre-Christmas lunch a year after their mother died. Both women are unhappy and frustrated with their own lives. Though not close, each is envious of the other’s life. What’s a twin to do but take advantage of this and who would be the wiser? They do what any identical twins in need of new outlooks would do – swap lives until Christmas Day. And by doing so, each woman discovers the true meaning of her life and gains a deeper perspective and appreciation for what she already had. The film stars Candace Cameron Bure.
November 26 – The new holiday movie A Joyous Christmas will debut on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries at 9 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: A successful motivational speaker learns the true meaning of Christmas when she is rescued from a near fatal accident by a stranger. This close encounter leads her to discover that helping others is not only the key to true success, but just might lead her to finding true love. Stars Natlie Knepp, Michael Rady, Bonnie Bedelia and Steve Bacic.
November 26 – The ION holiday movie Snowmance will debut at 9 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: No man is perfect enough for Sarah Groves, except perhaps the impressive snowmen she sculpts annually with her childhood pal, Nick. MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Set in New York City, the film follows a young woman-turned-angel, Allison Pyke (Brenda Song from Pure Genius), who is stuck on Earth and can’t seem to ring the right bells in order to pass through those pearly gates into heaven. When the love of her life, Patrick (Ricky Mabe from Preacher), shows up in New York City, it complicates Pyke’s journey as well as frustrates her angel mentor (Jason Biggs from Orange Is the New Black). The not-so-merry situation also turns into an unexpected love triangle with her friend with sometimes benefits, Barker (Andy Favreau from Aquarius)

Show Synopsis: Miriam “Midge” Maisel (Rachel Brosnahan from Manhattan) is a Jewish housewife living in New York City in 1958. Her husband, Joel (Michael Zegen), is a successful businessman who moonlights as a struggling comedian. Midge supports Joel, providing feedback about his sets, but becomes disillusioned when she discovers that Joel has stolen one of his best routines from Bob Newhart. One night, after a particularly rough performance, Joel confesses to Midge that he has been having an affair and leaves her. Midge goes to her family for support but primarily receives criticism for choosing to marry Joel. After getting drunk, Midge returns to the comedy club where Joel performs and impulsively goes on stage, delivering an impromptu set about her predicament which the audience finds hilarious. After baring her breasts in an attempt to demonstrate how attractive she is, Midge is arrested and taken to jail on a morals charge. The next morning, she meets Lenny Bruce (Luke Kirby), who is also being bailed out of jail. Bruce warns Midge that the comedy business is terrible, but Midge takes his warning as encouragement and teams with Susie (Alex Borstein), a comedy club employee, to hone her act. The cast also includes Tony Shalhoub and Marin Hinkle.
