Comic-Con 2019: Katie Cassidy teases new look for the final season of ARROW

This year marks the final Comic-Con appearance for the cast and creative team of Arrow, founders of the Arrowverse on the CW. We sat down with Katie Cassidy to talk about what’s coming up for Laurel Lance, directing, and more in the final season.

Katie said this season is a tribute to the previous seven seasons of Arrow, touching on themes from the past. She is directing episode 8.03 and she’s really excited about the opportunity.

She has a new look this season because the producers are letting her keep her short hair (she’s worn extensions in the past) and Black Canary has a new costume this season which Katie says “is dooooope!” Katie said she gets to play Laurel with a little more sass a la her Earth 2 character and she’ll be aligning with Oliver this season.

The final season of Arrow premieres Tuesday, October 15 at 9/8c on the CW.
