AGENTS OF SHIELD: “Window of Opportunity” {Roundtable}

By  |

The second episode of the 6th season of Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD aired on Friday night, focusing on:

Fitz and Enoch struggling in space, while Sarge and his team move forward with their mysterious mission on Earth.

Join NiceGirls Rueben, Christie and Roz as we discuss the episode, using our ratings system known as SASSY – S(tupid), A(wesome), S(o) S(o) and Y(Your Thoughts):

STUPID

Roz: Oh Jemma! I love that you’re out here searching for Fitz, but that missed connection is hurtful (even if you don’t know it yet!)

Rueben: I loved that Paul Telfer was in the episode, but his character wasn’t too smart in planning anything against Fitz. Granted he had no idea who he was dealing with, but I had a feeling that Fitz wasn’t willingly walking into that airlock if he didn’t have something else planned.

Christie: I know I should sit back and enjoy the ride, but I can’t get into our new “bad guys.” I would really like to move forward with some answers on who these people are and why one of them is Coulson’s doppelganger.

AWESOME

Roz: May’s always so smart and capable and I want her to be more like this as she searches for Sarge/Coulson.

Rueben: May figuring out where Sarge and his team were disappearing to from the jewelry store, and then her taking on that giant and “Snowflake” in their truck. She is just amazingly tough. She might not have defeated them, but she sure did her best in taking them on.

Christie: I like the new scientist, Marcus Benson. I think someone who is blunt and able to cut through the years of secrets and nonsense on the show to get answers. And he’s a good foil for May.

SO S

Roz: I wish we knew more about what Sarge and his group want because it’s not clear and it’s making me want to punch all of them week in and week out.

Rueben: What is the deal with the PEG’s that Sarge and his team need. What is so special about Topaz and Quartz that it could potentially bring the ruin to the Earth?

Christie: Snowflake is grating on me. And I just don’t buy Clark Gregg as a post-apocalyptic bad guy.

YOUR THOUGHTS

Roz: We have everyone in different places and it’s hard to keep my energy on one story each week. Can we hurry up and get everyone back so we can figure out all of this?

Rueben: Sarge said that hearing the word Coulson rang a bell for him. Does that mean he is Coulson somehow? What exactly do they have planned for the Earth. How about the Zephyr nearly crossing paths with the ship that Enoch and Fitz are inside? Ok, so Jemma was right that she felt Fitz was in that deep, deep part of space, but how will they track him down?

Christie: I am waiting for something to happen to keep me going. With Jemma and Daisy closing in on Fitz, maybe we’ll get something cool next episode.
