Do You Remember: Take Two

By  |

The short-lived comedy-drama Take Two debuted on ABC on June 21, 2018. The series came from Andrew W. Marlowe and his wife Terri Edda Miller, who were the creator and executive producer of the long-running ABC drama Castle.

The series centered on Sam Swift (Rachel Bilson best known for The O.C.), a disgraced actress who famously played a detective in a TV series called Hot Suspect, with over 200 episodes before her career collapsed due to alcohol problems. After leaving rehab, she started over by becoming a private investigator working alongside Eddie Valetik (Eddie Cibrian best known for Third Watch), a P.I. and former LAPD detective who now works as a consultant with the department. At first Sam was shadowing Eddie to gain firsthand knowledge for a potential movie role, but then she decided being a private detective was more fulfilling.

The main cast included Xavier de Guzman (The 100), who played Roberto “Berto” Vazquez, Eddie’s tech assistant; Aliyah O’Brien (Family Law and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow), who played Detective Christine “Chris” Rollins, an LAPD detective who had an on-again/off-again relationship with Eddie and Alice Lee (Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist), who played Monca, Sam’s assistant who was working towards her PhD in Psychology.

The recurring cast members included Jordan Gavaris (Orphan Black), who played Mick English, a medical examiner; Heather Doerksen (Van Helsing), who played Syd, Sam’s agent and Lamont Thompson (Miracle Workers and The Lincoln Lawyer), who played Zeus, Eddie’s former LAPD partner, who now runs a consulting firm.
