I was lucky to sit down with this incredible cast and get some scoop on season 3 in the Black Lightning press room at San Diego Comic-Con. Since we got a chilling peek of Khalil as Painkiller last night, now is the perfect time to share our roundtable interview with Jordan Calloway! Warning spoilers ahead.
I had to keep my fangirl in check when Jordan sat down at our table because he is my current crush *swoon* on Black Lightning and Riverdale. I am so glad that we will continue to see him in season 3!
I asked Jordan what it was like to film the shocking scene where his spine was literally ripped out and he said it was a lot of fun. He enjoys doing wirework and he kept asking for them to use more blood! Well whatever he did worked because that was one of the most shocking deaths (or attempted deaths) on TV.
I asked what he liked about filming in Atlanta and he said it wasn’t the heat or the mosquitoes (I can relate…we have some hellish bugs in ATL Lol). He really appreciates the fanbase and community in Atlanta. He likes the people and the southern hospitality.
