Comic-Con 2019: James Bamford on the final season of ARROW

This year marks the final Comic-Con appearance for the cast and creative team of Arrow, founders of the Arrowverse on the CW.

We chatted with James Bamford about his start on the show as Stephen Amell’s trainer before working up to his current position as director and producer. He had a cameo in the pilot as the first person that the Green Arrow killed. This season he’s directing episodes 801, 809 and the series finale.

There are so many cool stunts and other scenes that had to be cut for time – James said he’d love to re-release a lot of his episodes as longer “director’s cuts” so he can show us “all that great stuff”.

The final season of Arrow premieres Tuesday, October 15 at 9/8c on the CW.
