Comic-Con 2019: Juliana Harkavy talks Black Canary, final season of ARROW

By  |

This year marks the final Comic-Con appearance for the cast and creative team of Arrow, founders of the Arrowverse on the CW. Here we sit down with Juliana Harkavy to talk about Black Canary and the final season.

Juliana reflected on Dinah’s character arc from loner to part of a team. She would love to see more of the Canaries and hopes Dinah will get her cry back and own being the Black Canary, back to part of the team.

Teasing the final season, Juliana said that Dinah is still committed to public service and she will be less conflicted this season. She has a role in both timelines, so we’ll be seeing plenty of her.

Knowing the show is ending allows them to appreciate it more, Juliana said. She is considering trying her hand at directing, but she’s really interested in writing and has had some great mentors on the show. She credits Arrow with improving her physical and emotional health because the show requires so much stamina – she feels healthier now and wants to continue, plus “take it up a notch”.

The final season of Arrow premieres Tuesday, October 15 at 9/8c on the CW.
