STUPID

Melissa: It gave us the title of the episode, but the orgy pants at work were, as others noted, pretty dumb. I know they’re flexing about being on Netflix with fewer restrictions, but come on…

Cay: The whole orgy scene was over the top, and the pants were just ridiculous. I could have done without both. This pushed suspension of disbelief that Lucifer would still be working for the PD after that way too far!

Lisa: Although it was very entertaining it was pretty stupid for Lucifer to wear his orgy pants to the crime scene. You know he felt a draft back there. It was funny as hell…but dumb.

AWESOME

Melissa: Um, Lilith is Maze’s mother??? Can we spend some more time on that, please??? Does that mean Adam is her father? Also, what happened between Maze and Lilith that gave Maze mommy issues? This is an interesting plot point! Please don’t just drop it, producers!

Cay: That was a nice little reveal, wasn’t it?

Lisa: Yeah, I didn’t see that coming at all! Also Maze giving a baby blanket to Dr. Linda at the end was so sweet. I thought for sure there something very inappropriate for a child in the box (like a weapon) and it was so sweet. I also loved seeing Amenadiel stick up to his sister about his child and Dr. Linda. I can’t wait to see what this baby can do.

SO-SO

Melissa: I’m wary about the introduction of Remiel, especially since she wants to steal the half-angel baby. The introduction of additional angelic siblings has been pretty hit or miss on this show, and so far I’m not sold on this one.

Lisa: Dan and his disdain for Lucifer. He was pissed about his orgy parties and although he made good points, I just don’t care for this attitude of Dan’s. It’s not a good look for him. I almost want him to hang out with Maze again.

Cay:  Yeah, I don’t like Dan this season. He’s not been very sympathetic, even if he’s doing all of this because of his unresolved grief over Charlotte.

YOUR THOUGHTS

Melissa: I appreciated that we had a time jump between the last episode and this one. It helped with the relationship dynamics – Lucifer and Eve together, Chloe being “okay” with that, Amanadiel and Linda and the prominent baby bump. We needed some time to pass so things could settle down a bit before, I assume, the ish hits the fan again. And that ish begins with Maze’s return – she feels out of the loop and that’s never good when it comes to a vengeance demon. I did enjoy her and Eve spending time together, though.

Cay: The time jump surprised me. The nudest camp was fun, but the orgy party was over the top – they are trying too hard to be edgy. All of these pieces made the episode feel out of place with the rest I thought.

Lisa: This episode was enjoyable. Luci and Ella at the nudist camp was pretty funny. There was some nudity in this episode which makes me think Netflix might get a little more risqué as the season continues. Now that Lucifer is comfortable with himself with Eve at his side, who knows what they will accomplish together. I just wish Chloe saw Luci’s copy machine gift for her because that was adorable. I think sweet and thoughtful Luci is gone and Lucifer the devil has arrived.
