Week in Review: TV Top Moments – For Better or Worse

By  |

Each week I pick a few TV moments I can’t stop thinking about – for better or worse. If I missed your favorite or frustrating TV moment let me know in the comments below. Since this is a week in review there are going to be spoilers. The whole thing is a spoiler so proceed at your own risk.

208-001-mindy-project-youve-got-sext-photos-lightbox-tbdThe Mindy Project – I don’t always love this show, I want to but it doesn’t always come together for me. That being said this week’s episode was flawless. It was just the most perfect 30 minutes of comedy I’ve seen since the Landlord episode in season one of New Girl.
Danny and Mindy goodness, Morgan and Danny shenanigans and Ellie Kemper (The Office) and Glenn Howerton (It’s Always Sunny) as guest stars.

How I Met Your Mother – Speaking of sitcoms that don’t always come together. I used to love this show. It is one of the few sitcoms that I would religiously watch. Nine seasons later and I have had enough. We are still talking about Ted and Robin and their feelings? We know she isn’t the Mother. I feel like they could have taken ½ of last season and ½ of this season put it together and called it. I can’t believe we have so many more episodes left.

Scandal – This show is bananas! Fitz’s Dad raped Mellie! Fitz’s son might be his brother! Fitz shot down the plane Olivia’s Mom was on! Olivia’s Mom wasn’t actually on the plane! She is alive! Quinn is now part of B613! Do you see the sheer number of exclamation marks? This is all from this week’s episode mind you. Just one freaking episode!

Bones – I am all for gross on TV. I watch The Walking Dead with no issues. However, I was completely grossed out by Hodgkin’s whole bot fly growing in his neck. What on earth was that about? Gross. Gross. Gross.

Blacklist – How is it that I am so in love with Red Reddington’s devil may care, I’m in it for myself (and Lizzy), I am a criminal with no apologies persona that I do not mind that he killed Elizabeth’s Dad? I mean I don’t think it was right and I was momentarily upset about it but generally I love his character. So much so that by the end of the episode when he was having Elizabeth tell him stories about her father I was thinking, “Well how sweet is that.”

Leah reads constantly, sing incessantly and watches TV what her Mother would consider an unhealthy amount. You can find her on twitter @IamPollyP or contact her via email at leah@nicegirlstv.com
