Preview of “Unforgettable: Complete First Season” on DVD

Unforgettable was one of those series’ which I felt was shut down before its prime. While I’m super happy that it has since been revived by CBS, it feels like so much time has passed since the first season that many will have forgotten all about it. Thank goodness for DVDs! Unforgettable: the Complete First Season broke on shelves yesterday (July 9th, 2013) and it’s about time too.

The DVD set includes extras like commentary on the Pilot episode and the finale, “The Man in the Woods”.  Insight into Highly Superior Autobiographical Memory (HSAM) from Marilou Henner and Dr. James McGaugh are found under “The Rememberers” feature. The history of Unforgettable’s origins and development are featured in “Keeping It Memorable: The Cast and Crew of Unforgettable“. There’s also footage from the CBS launch promo and production design. Deleted scenes and gag reel round out the extras.

The official synopsis for the series reads:

Unforgettable is a crime drama starring Poppy Montgomery as Carrie Wells, an enigmatic former police detective with a rare condition where she cannot forget anything.  The debut season one DVD includes all 22 mysterious first season episodes as Carrie returns to work as a homicide detective in hopes of trying to solve her sister’s murder that occurred years ago.  Although she can vividly recall every place, every conversation every moment of joy and every heartbreak, her sister’s unsolved murder is the one thing she cannot remember.

Unforgettable: The Complete First Season is available now, just in time for the season 2 premiere on July 28 at 9/8c, on CBS.
