NICE BOY OF THE WEEK: Raphael Sbarge
Last weekend at Dragon*Con I had the pleasure of meeting Raphael Sbarge. He was so kind to the fans and took numerous pictures with cosplayers. He even donated autographed pictures to various charities. After meeting him, I knew he was the perfect choice for Nice Boy of the week.
Raphael was born in New York and his family was very familiar with the theatre. His mother was a costume designer, and his father was an artist and a writer. There is no wonder that this talented actor got his start when he was four on a little show you might have heard of called Sesame Street.
He went on to do stage plays, films, television and voice acting. Raphael has been in films like Risky Business, Independence Day, Message in a Bottle and Pearl Harbor. He has appeared in numerous television shows like Star Trek: Voyager, The Guardian, Prison Break, and Dexter. Currently Raphael stars as Archie Hopper/Jiminy Cricket on the hit show Once Upon A Time.
He also voiced characters for the video games Ever Quest 2, Star Wars: Republic Commando, Mass Effect, and Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3.
As if he wasn’t busy enough, Raphael still makes time to give back. He is the founder of Green Wish, a non-profit organization that focuses on helping local green organizations fund projects for their communities through donations at local retailers.
Is there anything this nice boy can’t do? I don’t think so. Raphael is a talented actor, voice actor, producer, father, and founder of a non-profit charitable organization. What an awesome Nice Boy of the week!
