Once Upon a Time – 8/7c ABC
“The Return” – Mr. Gold attempts to uncover the true identity of August, Emma confronts Regina about her involvement in Kathryn’s disappearance, and David tries to apologize and reconcile with Mary Margaret. Meanwhile, in the fairytale land that was, Rumplestiltskin agrees to comply and do whatever it takes if his son can find a way for him to safely give up his powers and turn back into the loving man he used to be.

The Good Wife – 9/8c CBS
“The Penalty Box” – Alicia defends a judge against misconduct charges stemming from his days as a prosecutor. Meanwhile, Cary makes a career decision and Kalinda deals with the repercussions of Agent Delaney’s investigation.

Game of Thrones – 9/8c HBO
“Garden of Bones” – Joffrey punishes Sansa for Robb’s victories, while Tyrion and Bronn scramble to temper the king’s cruelty. Catelyn entreats Stannis and Renly to forego their ambitions and unite against the Lannisters. Dany and her exhausted khalasar arrive at the gates of Qarth, a prosperous city with strong walls and rulers who greet her outside them. Tyrion coerces a queen’s man into being his eyes and ears. Arya and Gendry are taken to Harrenhal, where their lives rest in the hands of “The Mountain,” Gregor Clegane. Davos must revert to his old ways and smuggle Melisandre into a secret cove.

Veep – 10/9c HBO – SERIES PREMIERE
“Fundraiser” – Vice President Selina Meyer (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) and her staff – chief of staff Amy (Anna Chlumsky), spokesperson Mike (Matt Walsh), right-hand man Gary (Tony Hale), and executive assistant Sue (Sufe Bradshaw) – are still finding their footing in Washington D.C. Selina decides to make the Clean Jobs Commission a pet project, but a series of missteps requires her staff to work damage control.

Girls – 10:30/9:30c HBO
“Vagina Panic” – Hannah reveals her “Forest Gump”-induced AIDS phobia when she realizes Adam might not be practicing monogamy. Marnie lives in denial of her growing boredom with (and sexual repulsion by) her long-term boyfriend, Charlie (Chris Abbott); Jessa avoids Marnie’s meticulously planned day at a women’s health clinic, where Shoshanna confesses a humiliating secret.
