BODY OF PROOF: Why You Should Watch Tonight

Why You Should Watch Body of Proof Tonight:

1) Jeri Ryan might die.

Okay, hold on, that’s not right. As far as I know, Jeri Ryan the actress is healthy. She certainly looks like she’s in great shape. But Kate Murphy, Ryan’s character, isn’t. Going Viral Part I ended with Kate collapsing during a press conference from a virus they still haven’t found a cure for and from the preview of next week, it looks like we’re going to get a long and interesting look at Kate and Murphy facing Murphy’s mortality. And with two phenomenal actresses like Dana Delany and Ryan, you know it’ll be good.

Plus, I mean it: Kate might die. This isn’t like Sarah Walker being hit with the Norseman, guys. There’s only one episode left until the season finale, and Jeri Ryan is keeping mum on Twitter about whether or not she’s in it. Also, they killed off Dani last week! So you know they’re not afraid to pull that trigger!

2) There Are Webisodes.

And they are awesome. Seriously, don’t you want to see how the continuations play out into the episode tonight? If you haven’t seen them yet, there are five of them and they are available on ABC’s website right here. Starting right after the episode last Tuesday, each webisode was released on a different weekday, and they show a deeper look at what’s happening in Philadelphia with Patient Zero threatening everybody.

3) Why Dance With the Stars When You Can Diagnose With the Doctors?

BODY OF PROOF - "Going Viral," Part II

Geoffrey Arend and Wendell Middlebrooks: Best Comedy Duo Ever

Okay, that heading was lame, I know. But Body of Proof is proving itself to be a solid show with interesting characters, fun medical twists, and even a little dancing. At least, I’m sure somebody in the course of this entire show has danced at least once. This show is on the bubble right now. The ratings got a bump last week, but I would love to see them rise farther, which is why I’m asking you to head over to the ABC website, stream the first part of Going Viral and then join me in front of the TV for the second part tonight. Things to consider: Megan Hunt is interesting without being an anti-hero. Curtis and Ethan’s geek patter is one of the highlights of my week. They’ve given Lacey a very real, scary, and manageable disease, and as the daughter of a diabetic, I can’t help but marvel at how well they handled that storyline. Even Peter was pretty great in the first part of Going Viral.

4) This Way, You Can See If I’m Lying in my Monster Recap

That’s right. I’m going to recap both parts of Going Viral and all parts of Outbreak, the attached Webisodes. There will probably be drinking games. Bad puns! Psychological break-downs of each character and the stages of grief! Theories as to why Luke Perry doesn’t age! Oh, yeah, and my write-up of what actually happens, but that’s not as important.

See? He doesn't AGE.

See? He doesn't AGE.
