Netflix, The CW Partner to Stream Shows; My DVR Breathes Sigh of Relief

Netflix continues to add to its library of streaming TV shows with the announcement today that they’ll add scripted series from the CW to their Watch Instantly program.

Subscribers can watch episodes from new series Hart of Dixie, Ringer and Secret Circle, plus current episodes from Nikita, Supernatural, Gossip Girl, 90210, and The Vampire Diaries.

Previous seasons of The Vampire Diaries, Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill and Nikita will be available to watch instantly as of October 15, with previous seasons of Supernatural and 90210 beginning in January 2012. Episodes of all scripted series airing on The CW this broadcast season will premiere for Netflix members in Fall 2012. In addition, all episodes of future scripted series appearing on The CW through the 2014-15 season will be available to stream from Netflix through a commensurate window.
