OK, Supernatural just found a way to guarantee that I’ll finally get around to checking out the series: Buffy alumni Charisma Carpenter and James Marsters are guest starring in an episode this autumn. I’ve been meaning to watch SPN for years (Bethanne keeps urging me), but you know how it is – there’s always something else you need to watch right now. Bringing in Cordy and Spike? SPN just jumped to the top of the list.
According to TVLine, the pair will play an estranged couple on the rocks with the added bonus that Charisma is a witch. While they were married, James’ character became incredibly successful, but now that she’s a woman scorned, the whole town is paying the price. The episode, titled “Shut Up, Dr. Phil”, films next week and will probably air in November.
For those keeping track, that means we’ll be seeing Buffy (Ringer), Willow (How I Met Your Mother), Angel (Bones), Cordy and Spike (Supernatural) when the new TV season begins next month. Feel free to geek out in the comments.
