Today’s Women Behind the Scenes spotlight is shone on Television Producer and Writer Joan Rater. Joan is originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin and is married to fellow producer and writer Tony Phelan. Joan first worked as a writer on the short-lived 2002 shows MDs and Push, Nevada. She then followed those up with the short-lived 2003 series 10-8 where she worked …

Conviction raised questions tonight about how and when the people surrounding the CIU will go to solve a case, for good or bad. The actual case of the week is trying to determine who kidnapped a high school girl, who was then held captive for ten years. The original convicted person was her former high school teacher who had a …

Since joining the staff of NiceGirlsTV back in the summer of 2009, I have enjoyed creating a Christmas wish list of either gifts for which I would have loved to receive over the years or gift ideas for our readers to purchase for their loved ones. This year I thought it would be interesting to take a look at just …

Conviction keeps hitting hard cases and keeps making me wonder and what point is something too real for fiction. The case this week involves a man – Leo Scarlata – who is not as smart as the average citizen, who was convicted of setting fire to his family restaurant that ultimately killed one man and injured another. Because the client …

As you have probably come to expect with Notorious Jake uses LHL to help his client, Dana’s daughter Maya. Julia does something that is dangerous and Louise is generally fabulous. 1. I forgot how terrible Maya’s friends are. 2. Does no one in LA share a jail cell at County? 3. Oh yay – Jake and Julia are friends again. …

Conviction hit hard this week and there’s no good way to talk about the case, or the outcome. To be sure, the CIU tackles a case of an African-American woman who shot a Caucasian cop, especially after more racial tensions have arise in NYC. Dead cops, angry protests, discussions of what lives matter. It’s on the nose for the national …

Notorious is past the death of Sarah Keaton, but this week’s “case” puts a strain between Julia (Piper Perabo) and Jake (Daniel Sanjata), as LHN chooses to follow a story over honoring an agreement between Julie, Jake and Jake’s client. What To Do? When a former news anchor’s daughter is accused of murder, Julia and Louise (Kate Jennings Grant) have …

Conviction teased us yet again with a slightly different case this week. Actually, the case is much the same: poor man convicted of murder of wealthy woman who had taken him in and given opportunities. Only the twist at the end sets this one apart: in fact, the client, Will Jarrett (Grayson DeJesus), also worked with the victim’s son to …

Agents of SHIELD is on a small hiatus, but it went out with a huge bang! The Nice Girls are here to discuss "The Good Samaritan," and we have three different points of view this week. Makes for a GREAT discussion!

We finally find out who killed Sarah and we see just how close Jake and Julia are. I had 61 thoughts and questions about this episode. How many did you have? 1. Do we care about who killed Sarah? 2. Did Jake really pull an OJ? 3. How much do we dislike the DA? 4. Have you ever really looked …
