Dragon Con 2018: Saturday Highlights

Let’s Get Lit!

The BLACK LIGHTNING panel was lit! Christine Adams at one point gave a spoiler to the audience when asked about if they want to cross over with a Marvel show; she said that a BLACK PANTHER spin-off about Shuri is in production and she would love to be a part of that. When asked if she was going to be involved, she was very silent. The crowd went wild because no one knew about this and she said Letitia Wright is on board to be on this show as Shuri. So that was breaking news! Nefessa talked about the importance of representation on television and that she is glad to be an advocate for the LGBTQ Community as well as the African American community. It was a great panel and their first DragonCon!

Let’s Hear It For The Boys

The STRANGER THINGS panel was such a fun time! Seeing Caleb McLaughlin and Gaten Matarazzo together, you can tell they’re really good friends and they are so funny! Caleb talked about his charity Be Your Biggest Fan and how important it is to love yourself. It was a very sweet moment. My favorite part of the panel was when Gaten got up and sang. (Check out the @nicegirlstv Instagram account for the video.) He is such a talent!

Sweet Superhero

Meeting Brandon Routh from DC’s LEGENDS OF TOMORROW, ARROW and SUPERMAN RETURNS was so cool! He is such a sweetheart!!! 😍

My last Saturday highlight is the John Barrowman panel. He is always a fan favorite and his panels are always  the funniest thing you will ever see! He showed up in a cape and glittery green shorts on, with a crown and two half naked male strippers to start the panel! It was epic!
