Timeless put on a show – flaunting The Lost Generation and 1920s Paris – while also digging deeper into just how much power Rittenhouse has over everyone.
Lucy (Abigail Spencer), knows her father is part of Rittenhouse now, and he tells her that her destiny and role is already set for the long-game Rittenhouse wants to play.
I’d be tired of that, especially from a man who didn’t acknowledge me as his kid for ages, but that’s the least of Lucy’s worries.
Here’s the bigger issues:
Wyatt (Matt Lanter) is in jail for his joyride to the 80s last week.
The NSA is now in charge (and actually Rittenhouse) with a vary nasty looking new head agent.

Oh and the jump she makes with Rufus (Malcolm Barrett), puts them in Paris for Lindbergh’s landing.
1920s Paris turns out to be great for looking into the private lives of some of the world’s best (Fitzgerald, Picasso, Hemingway, Baker), but not so good as Flynn (Goran Visnjic) wants to take out Lindbergh as part of his ever devolving plan to kill Rittenhouse at some nascent point to keep his family alive.

Not that Flynn’s plans ever work, but having some hidden in plain sight Rittenhouse agents all around the Life Boat tells me that Rittenhouse wants to keep their power well preserved (if ever mysterious to what they want to do in the end). Rittenhouse, you’re the mad evil genius, tell us all your plot that will fall apart in five minutes!
In the end, Lucy’s mom tries to comfort Lucy after all the shuffling and drama with a journal – the same one that Flynn carries with her notes on history – and what the means is anyone’s guess.
Timeless airs Mondays at 10PM/9PM Central on NBC.
