BREAKING NEWS: Tom Everett Scott to Appear on Beauty And the Beast

Actor Tom Everett Scott, best known for his role in the box office film That Thing You Do! and roles in TV shows like Southland and the short-lived GCB, will have a recurring role on The CW fan favorite series Beauty And the Beast when it returns next year for the remainder of its second season. The show is current on its holiday hiatus, by the way.

According to TV Guide, the actor will have a recurring role on the series, playing Sam, an archaeologist with a short fuse, who has been in isolation for many years. He will, of course, cross paths with Catherine and Vincent (series leads Kristin Kreuk and Jay Ryan); but fans will have to tune in to find out what happens next.

Beauty And the Beast will return to The CW starting on Monday, January 13 at 9/8c.
