I Owe You All One

By  |

Yet again, it’s Wednesday night/Thursday morning, and I haven’t posted my column this week.

I had every intention of posting about a trip I went on last weekend, and I’ll still save it for next week. But, life (the kind that makes for excellent fodder for a sitcom of my life) happened.

This episode would be all about how I had my keys when I entered a grocery store–intent on buying soda for a party on Saturday–only to not have my car keys when I had the cart outside.

Panic set in. I, along with a few other clerks from the store, retraced my steps in the store, searching the floor for them.

A phone call to my every worried mother later, I had hope of getting a spare key to my car and out of this store. Only, it took her time to get there, and one more hurried search later, I left the store without my set of keys.

Of course, true to form, two hours later, I had a call from the store, saying my keys had been snagged against some batteries by the check-out aisle.

Of course.

So, that’s why you’ll have to wait another week to find out about what I really wanted to post about. Sorry! Really, I am.
