Black Lightning: China McClain Gives Season 3 Scoop!

Did you see the kick ass season 3 premiere of Black Lightning last night? It was lit! If you missed it, the good news is you can live stream it starting today on the CW app.
I was lucky to sit down with this incredible cast and get some scoop on season 3 in the Black Lightning press room at San Diego Comic-Con. First up is China McClain (Jennifer/Lightning) Warning spoilers ahead.
China was so nice and brought a lot of energy to our table. She shared that she was really excited to put on her Lightning suit for the first time. She said it can be tough after 12 hours but she has it pretty good because her suit is easier to get on than Cress (Black Lightning) or Nafessa’s (Thunder).
She said that in season 3 her powers are getting stronger and it is getting much more difficult for her to contain them (we saw a little bit of that in the premiere).First we fangirled that we were from Atlanta and then I asked her about her fight training process and how much of her own stunts she gets to do. She said she gets to do whatever she wants! Lol She said that 90% of her stunts she does because she’s mostly blasting people with her hands. One scene she didn’t shoot was the one where she jumped through the window last season, even though she thought it would have been fun.
