A Look at Paley Fest 2026

By  |

Paley Fest 2026 was held from April 4 through this past weekend at the famous Dolby Theatre (where the Oscars have been held) in the heart of Hollywood.

It started with a panel for the dystopian sci-fi series Plur1bus from Apple TV that stars Rhea Seehorn as Carol Sturka, the most miserable person on Earth who must save the world from happiness. Seehorn in addition to cast members Karolina Wydra, Carlos-Manuel Vesga and Samba Schutte as well as executive producer Gordon Smith and co-executive producer Jenn Carroll participated in the opening panel of the week-long event. Actress Yvette Nicole Brown served as the moderator.

Then ABC7 entertainment reporter George Pennacchio moderated the panel celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the legendary 70’s series Charlie’s Angels with lead actresses Kate Jackson, Jaclyn Smith and Cheryl Ladd taking to the stage to salute one of the groundbreaking shows from that era.

Next up was the Harrison Ford and Jason Segal led workplace drama-comedy Shrinking from Apple TV that was led by showrunner and co-creator Bill Lawrence and featured co-creator and star Jason Segel, as well as cast members Harrison Ford, Jessica, Williams, Michael Urie, Luke Tennie, Christa Miller, Lukita Maxwell, and Ted McGinley. The big surprise of the night was the appearance by Michael J. Fox.

The popular Netflix romantic comedy Nobody Wants This was held at the midway point of the annual fete, and I had the opportunity to attend this panel, which featured film journalist, producer and on-camera host Perri Nemiroff from Collider as moderator. The lively panel included star and executive producer Kristen Bell as well as cast members Adam Brody, Justine Lupe, Timothy Simons, and Jackie Tohn. Also in attendance was the show’s creator, executive producer and writer Erin Foster (who will actually appear in season 3 of the show) as well as co-showrunners and executive producers Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan.

A few days later, most of the cast of the popular, long-running Netflix romantic comedy Emily in Paris took to the stage, and once again, I had the great opportunity to be there; being able to see cast members Lily Collins, Ashley Park, Lucas Bravo, Samuel Arnold, Bruno Gouery and Lucien Laviscount on the stage along with creator and executive producer Darren Starr and executive producer and director Andrew Fleming. The panel was moderator by Editor-at-Large Janine Rubenstein from People.

This past Saturday, both the casts of the ABC reboot of Scrubs and the Apple TV crime drama Your Friends & Neighbors took to the stage.

That afternoon Scrubs series creator Bill Lawrence, showrunner Aseem Batra and original cast members Zach Braff, Donald Faison, Sarah Chalke, Judy Reyes, John C. McGinley, Christa Miller and Neil Flynn were on the stage to celebrate the show’s return, along with moderator Vanessa Bayer — who plays the Sacred Heart HR manager Sibby Wilson this — acting as the moderator.

As for Your Friends & Neighbors, cast members Amanda Peet, Jon Hamm and Olivia Munn were there along with writer and director Jonathan Tropper to talk about the show. The moderator for this panel was Jessica Radloff, journalist and senior West Coast Editor for Glamour magazine

The final night of Paley Fest 2026 featured the award-winning HBO Max medical drama The Pitt, which included only cast members Noah Wyle, Katherine LaNasa and Taylor Dearden along with series creator R. Scott Gemmill. Joanna Robinson, a podcaster and cultural critic from The Ringer, the pop culture website, served as moderator.
