My Top Choices for March TV

By  |

March TV is almost here and there are lots of programming options to check out.

You can see our full March TV calendar, which features dramas, specials and made-for-TV movies, here.

In the meantime, here is a list of the shows and movies that I am most looking forward to watching throughout next month:

COMING BACK FOR A NEW SEASON

The following shows will premiere their new seasons in March:

The Mandalorian on Disney+ on March 1
Perry Mason on HBO at 9 PM on March 6
Superman & Lois on The CW at 8 PM on March 14
Shadow & Bone on Netflix on March 16
Sanditon on PBS at 9 PM on March 19

WELCOME TO THE FOLD

The following new dramas will debut throughout the month:

True Lies (the small screen adaptation of the box office movie) on March 1 on CBS at 10 PM. Steve Howey (Reba and Shameless) and Ginger Gonzaga (She-Hulk) star as Harry Tasker and his wife Helen, who learns that her traveling salesman husband is actually a first-class international spy.

Daisy Jones & the Six on Amazon on March 3. This series is based on the book and stars Riley Keough (the granddaughter of Elvis Presley) and Hunger Games alum Sam Claflin. The band in this series is very reminiscent of Fleetwood Mac, and includes some pretty fantastic music.

NOTE: I had the chance to see all of the episodes (thank you screeners!) and I highly recommend it to our readers!

School Spirits on Paramount+ on March 9. Peyton List (from the Netflix series Cobra Kai) plays a teenager stuck in the afterlife investigating her mysterious disappearance.

Gotham Knights on The CW at 9 PM on March 14. Supernatural alum Misha Collins will star as District Attorney Harvey Dent in a world where Batman is dead and his adopted son and the children of some of Batman’s enemies have to figure out who really committed the deed.

Up Here on Hulu on March 24. Mae Whitman (Good Girls) will star in this musical romantic comedy set in New York City in the waning days of 1999, following the extraordinary story of one ordinary couple, Lindsay and Miguel, as they fall in love and discover that the single greatest obstacle to finding happiness together might just be themselves.

Rabbit Hole on Paramount+ on March 26. Kiefer Sutherland is back to save the world again, but this time he is playing John Weir, a corporate spy adept at deception.

Ride on the Hallmark Channel on March 26 at 9 PM. The series focuses on the McMurray family, part of a rodeo dynasty going back a generation, as they struggle to keep their beloved ranch afloat.

The Power on March 31 on Amazon. An all-star cast appears in this series that is our world, but with one twist of nature: teenage girls develop the power to electrocute people at will. The cast includes Auli’i Cravalho (the voice of Moana), Eddie Marsan, John Leguizamo, Josh Charles and Toni Collette.
