On Christmas Day last year, the Netflix period piece drama Bridgerton, from uber-producer Shonda Rhimes, made its debut, quickly becoming an instant international hit and taking the world by storm.

Enter, TikTok star Abigail Barlow, who – along with the 82 million households who watched the streaming series – was inspired to put her gifts to work, creating song after song with her musical partner, and former child prodigy, Emily Bear.

What began somewhat as a lark for the 22-year-old Barlow and 19-year-old Bear, quickly became – just like its namesake – an international movement by cast members of the “biggest show ever” and Broadway performers alike to see this concept become reality.

Barlow and Bear were soon making the rounds on the BBC, NPR’s All Things Considered and The Kelly Clarkson Show (just to name a few) as well as being written up in the likes of Variety, People, The Boston Globe and Entertainment Weekly.
