A Million Little Things: Secrets and Lies

By  |

On this week’s A Million Little Things:

After troubling news, Delilah finds herself once again leaning on her friends in order to help her family, unexpectedly having to rely on Katherine the most out of all people. Despite Gary’s protests, Maggie insists on running the Suicide Prevention 5K with the rest of the gang, where Danny also plans to introduce someone special to his mom and sister.

Here are our thoughts:

Cay:

First, Katherine is a freaking saint!!! To be so kind and helpful to Delilah despite her and Eddie’s affair is the mark of a pretty amazing person. Thank goodness her colleague realized that the loan payments were hinky. I wonder how much was in the Rutledge trust that Ashley cleaned out? My inclination all along is that she’s a bad actor and was either in a relationship with Jon or covering up something. But, that video at the beginning, which seems to have been recorded in her apartment, and that meeting with the woman (Barbara) at the end just made it all that much more mysterious. I’d like to get some answers here sooner rather than later.

Once again Gary proves his kind heart. Poor Maggie – she’s now suffering all the side effects that she was trying to avoid by not seeking treatment. At least she has a better support system now.

It’s good to have a bit more honesty between Delilah, Sophie, and Danny, both about Jon and Danny finally coming out to them. I think it’s fair to say that Sophie is going to lose it when she finds out about Eddie and Delilah.

Rome and Gina need to communicate better – both of them doing things that make them unhappy trying to spare the other seems likely to just make BOTH of them miserable.

Rueben:

I have to agree, Cay. I was really surprised how much Katherine went to bat for Delilah, and it made me respect her even more. It was great to finally get a little bit of movement in this whole storyline, but we need to know SO much more about it all. Who is Constance Zimmer (the woman who Ashley talked to near the end of the episode) playing? She is Barbara who Jon mentioned in the video? What is really going on there?

How great was Gary’s little apology at Delilah’s door? I enjoyed that little moment especially his saying that he is going door-to-door to apologize. That was priceless to me. He has been the one character I always enjoy every single episode.

We finally get a glimpse – other than the video that Rome shot – of them being stuck in the elevator together. And, a reveal of who Rutledge is. Now, as I said before, if only they’d give us a few more answers instead of stringing us along.

I also agree with you that Rome and Regina are going to make themselves miserable by his going off his meds and going back to directing another commercial while Regina will suffer dealing with her mother to keep the restaurant going. Neither of those scenarios is going to end well for either of them. And, is it really a good idea for Rome to go off his meds?

And didn’t Ashley think that she would eventually get found out about the payments she made after Jon’s death? And, why did she get that cashier’s check for the closed account. Obviously her name was on the account or else she couldn’t close it out, but shouldn’t that money go to Delilah?

Cay's family thinks her obsession with pop culture is "not normal". Normal is boring!
