The new dramas picked up by The CW include Roswell, New Mexico and In the Dark. The returning dramas that will be back during mid-season include Jane the Virgin, iZombie and The 100.

Roswell, New Mexico – After reluctantly returning to her tourist-trap hometown of Roswell, New Mexico, the daughter of undocumented immigrants discovers a shocking truth about her teenage crush who is now a police officer: he’s an alien who has kept his unearthly abilities hidden his entire life. She protects his secret as the two reconnect and begin to investigate his origins, but when a violent attack and long-standing government cover-up point to a greater alien presence on Earth, the politics of fear and hatred threaten to expose him and destroy their deepening romance. The cast includes Jeanine Mason (Grey’s Anatomy and Bunheads), Nathan Parsons (True Blood), Tyler Blackburn (Pretty Little Liars), Heather Hemmens (If Loving You Is Wrong), newcomer Michael Vlamis, Lily Cowles (Brain Dead), Karan Oberoi (Notorious), Michael Trevino (The Vampire Diaries) and Trevor St. John (Containment).

In the Dark – A flawed and irreverent blind woman is the only “witness” to the murder of her drug-dealing friend. After the police dismiss her story, she sets out with her dog, Pretzel, to find the killer while also managing her colorful dating life and the job she hates at the guide dog school owned by her overprotective parents. The cast includes Austin Nichols (One Tree Hill), Kathleen York (Jane the Virgin and The Client List), Derek Webster (NCIS: New Orleans and Ray Donovan), Keston John (Bosch) and Perry Mattfeld (Shameless).

The 2018-2019 will be final seasons for the dramas Jane the Virgin, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and iZombie. The much anticipated Supernatural spin-off Wayward Sisters was NOT picked up, and according to The CW president they, “did not feel that creatively the show was where (they) wanted it to be and we had a better shot with (the new drama) Legacies (the spin-off from The Vampires and The Originals).”
