HART OF DIXIE: “Bar-Be-Q Burritos” {Recap}

By  |

Zoe and Wade have gotten over their issues as a couple, but that doesn’t mean that life is easy. They need a new place to live, but Zoe’s hesitant about leaving Lavon’s house. That’s only one small problem when the Pritchett sisters are selling burritos from a food truck and taking all of the Rammer Jammer’s business.

Lavon wants to talk to Zoe about dating advise, then turns into Zoe partially admitting that she and Wade might move out, despite the free rent Lavon gives them.

Meatball, while eating a Pritchett burrito admits that his cousin is a big country star, who’s in Birmingham that might perform at the Rammer Jammer to remind all of Bluebell while they love the restaurant. Wade convinces Meatball’s cousin to come to Bluebell for one concert, only if the Bread and Breakfast to be as perfect as Wade’s pitch makes it sound. Only just before the trip into Bluebell, Zoe shuts down the Whipper Will because of bed bugs. Pamela probably won’t come now with the bed bugs, but Zoe has one idea that might help out. She asks Lavon to borrow his house for the night and while he doesn’t look pleased with it, he’s going to go along with it. The make-shift B&B at Lavon’s finally gets Zoe to admit that she and Wade want to move out.

Too bad Lemon also finds herself at a Single’s Hodown, and Lavon’s there, too. The universe seems to want them to be together more often than not. Right? Lemon does admit that Lavon is the love of her life, but that they both have to change before she leaves.

AB is trying to go back to Nursing School, but that means trying to kick George out of her houseboat. It doesn’t go as well as she liked, because George doesn’t know why she’s asking him to move out, he ruins the sale with the Truitts playing music. Lemon happens upon AB and George having a moment and wants to plan to put them together and hope that sparks fly. Lemon’s plan has AB buying the house to another man and that man renting the property to George and then meet at Fancie’s for dinner to test the menu. Lemon’s plan backfires because both AB and George see it as a way for the three of them to bond rather than as a way for the two of them to become a couple. The plan also will help Lemon and Lavon be a couple again, but while both shopping for things, Lavon suggests that it’ll be a bad idea.

Turns out, the plan is a very bad idea because soon AB realizes that Lemon has feelings for Lavon again, and that’s why the she was setting them up. When Lemon comes back, AB confronts Lemon about the idea. Lemon’s always looking to make herself happy rather than other people and AB walks out of Fancie’s.

Pamela’s making out with one of the Truitts and because Lavon won’t get her condoms and make her room into a sexual palace, the concert is cancelled. While she and Lavon are talking about why Zoe doesn’t want to move out. If only there was a way for that to happen? Since neither of them want to move, Wade and Zoe are both going to stay with Lavon.

George and AB do hit it off at the Rammer Jammer, though, but now it’s going to be complicated if they do try and make something work. It has to be awkward.
