SPOOKED: A Web Series from Geek & Sundry

Web series are popping up all over the place these days and quite a few of them are excellent. One of the good ones, SPOOKED, can be seen on Felicia Day’s Geek & Sundry channel on YouTube. SPOOKED is a ghost hunter parody of sorts. I say of sorts because while they do poke some fun at the ghost hunting shows they also do have actual ghosts to deal with.

I had a moment to speak with the cast at Comic Con this year where they shared their hope to be able to film more episodes for their second upcoming” season”. Their first outing was for four episodes.

The show stars Ashley Johnson as Morgan, a Spiritualist who very much believes in other worldly entities. Julian Curtis as Conner, the leader of the group and Shyloh Oostwald as Piper, Conner’s younger sister. She has the ability to see and communicate with spirits. Rounding out the cast is Derek Mio as Elliot, he photographs the scenes with a Polaroid camera – an original one and Neil Grayston as Lindsey. Lindsey is the skeptic of the group, but he has the video equipment, so he is in. Despite Lindsey being “the worlds worst cameraman” the cast mentioned that quite a bit of Neil’s actual footage was used in the final cuts of the episodes.
The series also has quite a list of awesome guest stars from Dichen Lachman and Alison Haislip to Tom Lenk.
