The following list provides the fall shows that are returning for their new season, the new fall shows that will be debuting and the made-for-TV movies that will all during October:

October – The new Cinemax series Transporter is expected to debut this month

Show Synopsis: Based on the film of the same name, Chris Vance (Prison Break) stars as professional transporter Frank Martin, who operates in a seedy underworld of dangerous criminals and desperate players.

October 1 – The mid-season finale of Warehouse 13 will air on Syfy at 9 PM

October 2 – Hart of Dixie back on The CW at 9 PM

October 3 – Supernatural back on its new night on The CW at 9 PM

October 5 – The season finale of XIII will air at 9 PM on Reelz Channel

October 6 – CBS will reair the pilot episode of the new series Made in Jersey tonight; check your local listings for airtime

October 6 – The BBC America series Bedlam will be back for its second season starting at 8 PM and the BBC thriller series Hex, starring a then unknown Michael Fassbender, will reair on BBC America at 9 PM

October 6 – The made-for-TV movie Abducted: The Carlina White Story will debut on Lifetime at 8 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Aunjanue Ellis (The Help), Keke Palmer (True Jackson, VP), and Sherri Shepherd (The View) star in the true story of the kidnapping of Carlina White (Palmer), who was abducted as an infant by Ann Pettway (Ellis) from a New York hospital and solved her own kidnapping and reunited with her biological parents 23 years later.

October 7 – The Masterpiece Classic Upstairs Downstairs will air its second season starting tonight at 9 PM on PBS (NOTE: The mini-series will run for six weeks until November 11.)

Mini-Series Synopsis: The saga continues at 165 Eaton Place, with new characters upstairs and down. This time it will be set in 1936, following the lives of masters and servants have never been so captivating, as two new arrivals make their mark and Lady Agnes reveals a dark secret. Alex Kingston (Doctor Who) joins the cast.

October 7 – The Lifetime made-for-TV movie Steel Magnolias will debut at 9 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Queen Latifah stars in the small screen adaptation of the iconic play and 1989 film of the same name, starring alongside Phylicia Rashad, Adepero Oduye, Condola Rashad, Jill Scott and Alfre Woodard.

October 7 – The finale of Hell on Wheels will air on AMC at 9 PM

October 8 – The 6-part 12-hour mini-series Titanic: Blood & Steel will debut on Encore at 8 PM

Mini-Series Synopsis: Chris Noth (The Good Wife) and Neve Campbell (Party of Five) star in yet another retelling of the at-sea tragedy.

October 8 – 90210 and Gossip Girl will be back on The CW at 8 and 9 PM

October 9 – Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog, the online sensation from Joss Whedon, will finally air on network TV on The CW at 9 PM

October 10 – The new drama Arrow will debut on The CW at 8 PM

Show Synopsis: After a violent shipwreck, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the Pacific. When he returns home to Starling City, his family and best friend welcome him home, but they sense Oliver has been changed by his ordeal on the island. While Oliver hides the truth about the man he’s become, he desperately wants to make amends for the actions he took as the boy he was; and so, he secretly creates the persona of Arrow – a vigilante – to right the wrongs of his family, fight the ills of society, and restore Starling City to its former glory. The cast includes Stephen Amell, Colin Donnell, Katie Cassidy, David Ramsey, Willa Holland and Susanna Thompson.

October 10 – Nashville debuts on ABC at 10 PM

Show Synopsis: Connie Britton (Friday Night Lights) stars as Rayna James, a legendary country music superstar, whose star begins fading. Her producers offer her a joint tour with the up-and-comer Juliette Barnes (Hayden Panettiere from Heroes), the young and sexy future of country music. But both singers are pursuing their goals. Juliette wants to take the place of Rayna while Rayna thinks that a few songs written by talented author Scarlett O’Connor (relative newcomer Clare Bowen) will help to revive her success. The cast also includes Powers Booth, Eric Close, Jonathan Jackson, Sam Palladio and Robert Wisdom.

October 10 – Chicago Fire debuts on NBC at 10 PM

Show Synopsis: The show follows the lives of the firefighters and paramedics working at the Chicago Fire Department, including cast members Jesse Spencer (House), Taylor Kinney (The Vampire Diaries), Lauren German (Hawaii Five-0), Monica Raymund (Lie to Me), Eamonn Walker (Kings), David Eigenberg (Sex and the City), Teri Reeves (General Hospital), Merle Dandridge (Sons of Anarchy) and newcomer Charlie Barnett.

October 11 – The Vampire Diaries back on The CW at 8 PM

October 11 – Beauty and the Beast to debut on The CW at 9 PM

Show Synopsis: Detective Catherine Chandler (Kristin Kreuk from Smallville) witnessed the brutal murder of her mother by two gunmen and she would have also been killed if not for some sort of “being” who saved her life. Years later, Catherine finds a clue that leads her to the discovery of a handsome doctor named Vincent Keller (Jay Ryan from Terra Nova), presumed dead in 2002 while serving in Afghanistan. For the last ten years, Vincent has kept a low profile in order to hide the fact that when he becomes angry, he turns into a beast… the same beast that saved Catherine’s life years ago. The cast includes Max Brown, Nina Lisandrello, Nicole Anderson, Austin Basis and Brian J. White.

October 12 – The season finale of Strike Back will air at 10 PM on Cinemax

October 13 – The Hallmark Movie Channel will debut The Seven Year Hitch at 8 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Jennifer (Natalie Hall) and Kevin (Darin Brooks) have been inseparable since becoming best friends at age six. So when Jennifer graduates from college and begins building a career in charity, she thinks it’s only right to let drop-out Kevin live in her newly purchased house until he gets back on his feet. Seven years later, Jennifer is continuing up the career ladder while Kevin is still golf caddying and waiting for his big break. Jennifer is happy to let Kevin march to his own beat, but her new boyfriend, arrogant corporate manipulator Bryce (Ryan Doom), wants her to kick Kevin to the curb. Oblivious to his cheating ways, Jennifer is ecstatic when Bryce asks her to marry him after only six months of dating, secretly using her angelic reputation to gain favor with his boss Mrs. Von Hoffman (Frances Fisher). Kevin catches Bryce cheating and is determined to spare Jennifer an unhappily ever after experience. With a little help from his law school brother, and support from his meddling neighbor Mr. Henderson (George Wendt), Kevin finds out he is legally married to Jennifer in a common law marriage after living together for exactly seven years. Now it’s up to Kevin to prove he is Jennifer’s equal – forever.

October 14 – The Walking Dead back on AMC at 9 PM

October 15 – Major Crimes will air its season finale on TNT at 9 PM

October 16 – The final season of Flashpoint will start tonight at 11 PM on ION Television

October 16 – Emily Owens, M.D. on The CW at 9 PM

Show Synopsis: The series follows the life of Emily Owens (Mamie Gummer from Off the Map), who is a first-year intern at Denver Memorial Hospital. Her med-school crush Will Collins (Justin Hartley from Smallville) also works there but on her first day she is stunned when she learns her high school nemesis Cassandra Kopelson (newcomer Aja Naomi King) also works. Emily is not only the new kid once again, but real life is also just as awkward as high school. The cast includes Necar Zadegan (The Event and 24), Michael Rady (The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants) and Kelly McCreary.

October 16 – Covert Affairs will be back on the USA Network after a three-week hiatus at 10 PM

October 17 – American Horror Story: Asylum will return to FX at 10 PM

October 17 – The mini-series World Without End will debut on ReelzChannel at 9 PM

Mini-Series Synopsis: This is the adaptation of the international best-selling novel by Ken Follett set amidst natural disaster, plague, and war in 14th century England two hundred years after the construction of the great cathedral in The Pillars of the Earth. The mini stars Cynthia Nixon (Sex and the City, The Big C), Miranda Richardson (Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows), Ben Chaplin (The Thin Red Line), Peter Firth (MI5), Charlotte Riley (The Duchess), Rupert Evans (Hellboy), Tom Weston-Jones (Copper), Megan Follows (Anne of Green Gables) and Sarah Gadon (Being Erica).

October 19 – The new Cinemax drama Hunted will debut at 10 PM

Show Synopsis: Melissa George (Alias and In Treatment) stars as an operative for an elite private intelligence firm who survives an attempt on her life that may have been orchestrated by members of her own team. The cast includes Adam Raymer (Hawthorne), Stephen Dillane (Game of Thrones), Morven Christie (The Young Victoria) and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Lost).

October 19 – Nikita back on The CW at 9 PM

October 20 – The Hallmark Movie Channel film I Married Who? will debut at 8 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Straight-laced Jordan Grady (Kellie Martin, Army Wives) is about to marry her perfect match, Peter Drake (Bradley Snedeker, The Closer) a clean-cut ambitious attorney. Before she walks down the aisle, Jordan and her best friends head to Vegas for a bachelorette party. Determined to get Jordan to loosen up, Claire steers the girls to the hottest nightclub for a few drinks and some fun; but when Jordan wakes up the next morning unable to recall the night before, she panics when she finds she’s in movie star Matt Swift’s (Ethan Erickson, Accidentally in Love) hotel suite with a gigantic diamond on her finger and a marriage certificate lying nearby. Before Jordan can have the marriage annulled and put this nightmare behind her, the impromptu wedding explodes into a publicity stunt fueled by Matt’s manager Eric to promote his latest movie. As Jordan tries to mend her relationship with Peter by promising a quick annulment before their wedding, little does she know that Eric has secretly delayed filing the annulment for Matt. With her wedding day approaching, Jordan finds herself more confused than ever when she starts falling in love with the movie star she’s married to instead of the fiancé she thought was her perfect match.

October 20 – The HBO telefilm The Girl will debut; check your local listings for airtime

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Toby Jones plays legendary director Alfred Hitchcock while Sienna Miller plays leading lady Tippi Hedren in a story that looks into her life alongside the man who took her from obscurity to box office fame in The Birds.

October 21 – The season finale of Copper will on BBC America at 10 PM

October 22 – The season finale of Switched at Birth will air on ABC Family at 8 PM

October 22 – Alphas will air its season finale on Syfy at 8 PM

October 23 – There will be an all-day marathon of episodes of Pretty Little Liars on ABC Family, leading into the 8 PM airing of the special Halloween episode

October 26 – The planned reboot of the classic The Munsters series known as Mockingbird Lane will air as a Halloween special on NBC at 8 PM

SPECIAL SYNOPSIS: Bryan Fuller, the man behind Pushing Daisies, is behind this special that was to be a series that isn’t going to happen now. The cast includes Jerry O’Connell, Portia de Rossi and Eddie Izzard as part of The Munsters family.

October 27 – The Good Witch’s Charm movie will debut on the Hallmark Channel at 9 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Catherine Bell (Army Wives) and Chris Potter (Heartland) return in the fifth installment of movie franchise with Cassie (Bell), eagerly embracing her new job as Mayor while trying to spend quality time with her family. Back in this installment are Catherine Disher (The Border), Hannah Endicott-Douglas (Casino Jack), Geordie Johnson (Durham County) and Janet-Laine Green (Haven).

October 28 – The new BBC America series The Secret of Crickley Hall will have a three-hour event debut at 8 PM

Show Synopsis: Based on the novel by best-selling British author James Herbert, the thriller begins a year after the disappearance of Cam, the son of Gabe Caliegh (Tom Ellis from The Fades) and Eve Caleigh (Suranne Jones from Doctor Who). As the couple and their two daughters attempt to start anew, they head to Crickley Hall – a seemingly perfect countryside house. But when cellar doors start to open on their own, phantom children’s cries are heard through the night and a frenzied cane-wielding specter rears its head – the Caleigh’s realize the house comes with a lot more than they bargained for. Just as they’re ready to move out, Eve Caleigh hears Cam’s cries and all bets are off.
