True Blood – HBO 9/8c – SEASON PREMIERE
“Turn! Turn! Turn!” – Sookie (Anna Paquin) and Lafayette (Nelsan Ellis) struggle with the aftermath of Tara’s (Rutina Wesley) shooting, while also cleaning up after Debbie Pelt. Meanwhile, Bill (Stephen Moyer) and Eric (Alexander Skarsgård), cleaning up a mess of their own, are visited by the Vampire Authority, one of whom is Nora (Lucy Griffiths), a woman from Eric’s past. In search of the missing Marcus, Alcide’s (Joe Manganiello) werewolf pack comes after Sam (Sam Trammell). With Bill away, Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll) enjoys her new freedom by partying with local college kids; Jason (Ryan Kwanten) is visited by the recently turned Rev. Steve Newlin (Michael McMillian); Terry’s (Todd Lowe) PTSD is reignited by Patrick Devins (Scott Foley), an old Iraq War buddy; and Alcide turns up at Sookie’s to warn her about the recently resurfaced Russell Edgington (Denis O’Hare).

Continuum – Showcase (Canada) 9/8c
“Wasting Time” – Kyra and Carlos investigate a series of mysterious murders in which victims have been drained of endocrine fluid only to discover that the crimes were committed by Liber8 in an effort to save Travis, their leader. Kellog tries to make a truce with Kiera by delivering her a gift,one that could cost her and Carlos their lives and will lead to Kellog’s expulsion from Liber8.

Drop Dead Diva – Lifetime 9/8c

The Glades – A&E 9/8c
“Poseidon Adventure” – A dead swimmer in a mermaid costume washes ashore, leading Jim to investigate a hip-hop mogul with big dreams; Jim thinks Callie’s best job prospect is in Atlanta.

Veep – 10/9c HBO
“Tears” – Selina finds herself in Ohio to support Rep. Roger Furlong (Dan Bakkedahl) for governor, but given the Veep’s low approval rating, he no longer wants the endorsement. Meanwhile, the Clean Jobs Bill comes back to haunt Dan – in the form of a possible Congressional hearing. After Selina tears up in her meeting with Furlong, Mike (Matt Walsh) and Amy (Anna Chlumsky) decide to play up Selina’s tears even more, but have no idea how big a floodgate it will open.

Girls – 10:30/9:30c HBO
“Leave Me Alone” – Behind on rent and resentful of the literary success of a former classmate (Jenny Slate), Hannah starts work at Cafe Grumpy and does a reading hosted by a former professor (Michael Imperioli). Marnie finds it increasingly difficult to support Hannah financially and emotionally. Jessa is confronted by her former boss (Katherine Hahn), and Shoshanna (Zosia Mamet) goes on a day date with an online match.
