Rueben's Ramblings

The Craziness That is December

By  |

As the old saying goes, “Christmas comes but once a year“; but when it does arrive – or to be more precise – when December gets here, things in my life just seem to go nuts. And I am sure that is the case for all of you out there, right?

For most of you, you are probably trying to finish your holiday shopping, making sure all of the decorations are put up, making holiday cookies and/or planning a trip to visit family and friends in whatever “neck of the woods” for which they live, right?

Well, for me, I get inundated with holiday-themed articles to write, a year-end entertainment round-up that takes well over a month to compose and get ready (not to mention the 11 months it takes to culminate all the information), preparing a mid-season calendar of all the returning and debuting TV series as well as the made-for-TV movies to expect in the first few months of the new year and so much more. All of that is on top of working a “normal” 9 to 5 day job and spending time with friends just to take a break every (brief) once in a while.

Oh, and that doesn’t even begin to cover all the holiday movies and specials to try to watch (and enjoy) on television, attending any TV related events that come along and taking in a couple of movies in the cineplex when time permits.

Needless to say, all of those ‘things’ have put me slightly behind schedule and delayed my writing what I had hoped to post in today’s column. But then again, my column is called Rueben’s Ramblings and I think I am doing just that – rambling…. Such is my curse. (wink!)

I do want to take this time to thank all of the NiceGirlsTV readers for stopping by all year long and I hope you have enjoyed my ramblings and all that can be found here at our site. We truly love what we do here and we hope that you will continue to come back as often as you can.

PS: Please make sure to set your clocks early to get online at 8 AM tomorrow morning for the ‘registration test’ for Comic Con 2011. It is sure to be an eventful morning, seeing if this new process works at all.
