Wonder Woman, The Munsters Returning To TV

By  |

Last week word came down that a couple of big names are working on reboots of some classic TV. Bryan Fuller, the man behind two of my favorite gone-too-soon shows – Wonderfalls & Pushing Daisies, is working on a new version of The Munsters for NBC. Described as “Modern Family meets True Blood“, and executive produced by Guillermo del Toro, this has some serious potential to be amazing. Possibly even the network’s savior after a decade of lows. It could also be a total train wreck.

Over at Warner Bros., David E. Kelley has been tapped to reboot Wonder Woman for the small screen. Joss Whedon attempted a feature film version in 2005, but the script never came together so that was abandoned. Television may be the better choice for this project, thanks to the strength of female roles in recent years, but David E. Kelley? That seems like an odd choice. Better known for legal dramas – Ally McBeal, The Practice, Boston Legal – I can’t help but wonder what his version of Diana Prince will look like. On the other hand, he had the good sense to marry Michelle Pfeiffer, so I’m willing to give this a chance.

Are you interested in either of these reboots? Have any casting suggestions? Sound off below!
